Yes the Morley, Gibson combination was fantastic. Williams played both left and right back didn't he. He also played half our games in our title winning year. Williams was probably my favourite.

Has anybody else read this from the OS about Graham Taylor?

"But they were certainly heading for the Cup scrapheap after a first half in which Allan Evans, Martin Keown and Derek Mountfield were run ragged bya lively Crewe forward line led by Kenny Swain, who had not played at centre forward since his days with Chelsea.

The former Villa favourite, who played of course at left-back in the 1981 First Division season, very nearly caused a real shock in the famous competition"

Left Back? - Bloody left back!!

Swain wore no.2 and was the best right back in the league

Left back was split between Colin Gibson and Gary Williams, of course

Another report on the OS...

"Helenius has kept in close contact with Nielsen since leaving Aalborg, with the ex-Villa midfielder offering his former charge plenty of encouragement"

Kent Nielsen - midfielder? - not that I remember!!

I know it seems like nit-picking but you would of at least thought that whoever writes these articles would at least check the facts.
