stato Posted February 17, 2012 Share Posted February 17, 2012 The WMP twitter guy tweeted the other day to say that The Fernhurst (usual away pub) won't be allowing any football fans in on a matchday. Some knobheads did smash the windows in when we played there a couple of years ago. Not sure if this applies to every game or just ours but it's a bit of a pisser either way! Aston Villa fans will not be able to use their familiar haunt of ”The Fernhurst” as it has become a restaurant and they no longer welcome fans home/away. Fans travelling to Blackburn by car/coach the Anchor Pub on Bolton Road, Darwin, are happy to accept away fans. They must make a fortune out of football fans. I don't know Blackburn that well, but from the half a dozen plus times I've been, it doesn't look much like the type of place that people are going to go out of their way to dine in.
