swaib2004
Looking to take a few family members to this game for xmas present, wondering what the trains are like seeing as this is a boxing day and a sunday. Will they be running ?

swaib2004
Just to let any one know who wants to, have checked both websites and by the looks of it there are no services at all running.
chappy Posted December 14, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted December 14, 2010 Yep, only services running in England on Boxing Day are around the London airports. It's the reason I can't get down for this game otherwise I would've been there. National Express are running some services if this helps anyone though? NulliSecundus
2 years ago I couldn't drive and therefore took the matchday special bus from Bromsgrove. Took ages but was the only way I could get there. This year I can drive (thank ****!) 2 years ago I'm sure SOME services ran locally in Birmingham on Boxing Day (although they didn't run late which was no good for a 5:15!). This year I've been told that they are working 48 hours straight to change the bridge at new street (the one along the B end of the platforms) as part of the new station plans so will be no trains passing through new street that weekend!
