General, Has the club considered taking legal action against the likes of Talk Sport and other media sources that are dragging our club through the hedges backwards ? Some of the lies and speculation Talk Sport are spouting on a daily basis are damaging to our clubs reputation especially as most of the 3 million listeners seem to take what there saying as gospel.

As I'm no longer six years old, my lack of enthusiasm for us appointing McLeish stems not from his association with the knuckledraggers, but from the turgid football that his teams play. I am going to renew my season ticket tomorrow because I support Villa much more tham any hatred of a rival team. I would prefer Hughes or Moyes but if it is McLeish so be it. Hi General, I've been a season ticket holder for so many years now I've lost count. I'm also a member of the away scheme and have been for ages inc all the dark days with DOL and Graham Taylor. I travel all over to watch my beloved Villa and wont have a word said... However If Alex McLeish is appointed our new manger I will return my season ticket that I've just renewed for another year and will not step foot in Villa park until the Randy Lerner era has ended !! I trust you'll do right by us General because If this appointment were to happen your finished in the eyes of 99% of Villa fans.

Can't believe this talk of Alex McCleish.... There's more chance of Heather from EastEnders loosing 15 stone, having a make over and applying to contest Miss World 2012. Same goes for Grayson,Poyet or any other manager from Mickey Mouse clubs. I've got complete faith that Randy knows what he's doing and the next manager will be one 90% of us will want.

Moyes - Seems to have no ambition (although he's my man) McClaren - Just wants to rebuild his destroyed reputation. Coyle - Another rookie but is he any better than Martinez? Benitez - Big Ego, will always think he's better than us. Ancolotti - Only interested in the top 4. Rijkaard - Zero knowledge of the English game.

I really like Martinez but he's still learning his trade at a club with very low expectations where Premiership survival is there goal season after season. He's got a great chairman and a very good young exciting team but I think a hike to a club like Villa could be a backward step if it doesn't work, as his growing reputation could be ruined. He should stay with Wigan for a few more seasons and I think Randy will go for a man with more experience. On the hand Everton took a huge risk with a rookie manager from Preston called David Moyes so you have to ask yourself whether or not the risk may pay ? Still Moyes for me but I have to say I really like Martinez as a man and a manager.
