  1. Horde to Alliance ratio on Deathwing (active players). Seems we are outnumbered by the lord of the rings fans by 1.7-1

Druids, the Warlocks the least played classes on the Horde side. Mages, Warriors and Rogues the most popular.

Having said that, this Warrior isnt very popular. Death is on its way...

And some of the string of dead Alliance we met on the way to our untimely ends at the Arena.

One dead, the other about to meet an angry TRL. Oh, and is that a Shadowbolt i see brewing on the right hand side?

  2. Nah, most of us will be on Deathwing most of the time, and probably using Alts on Deathwing too. I know i will.

Its just for those times where there are long Queues and you cant be arsed to sit in one for 15 mins to get on the server.

  3. If you werent a Rouge, you wouldnt miss the "being ganked" fun of a PvP server though.

But then it does make you bitter, twisted and out for revenge. As about 10 low level alliance found out yesterday while we were en route to Mord-, sorry, Searing Gorge.

  4. Im for that. Seeing both sides of the game is a good thing.

PvE or PvP? Admittedly, 99% of my time is going to be spent on Deathwing with my Warlock, im having so much more fun with a fully grown character than i ever did on my way up. 40-60 seems to be the golden times for a player.

If we go PvP Alliance, then im being a Night Elf Rogue. If we go PvE, i might roll Druid.

  5. You definately could use a Mage or Warlock for Sunken Temple.

The bit where you get swamped by Dragons is perfect for AoE goodness. Tank holds aggro, AoE goes to town on the little dragons, while everyone else just wails on the big dragon.

  6. Its a lot more than that. Ask Sie, he can do it. If you just want a cool orange glow, get the one i have, demonslaying.

Ive got it purely cos i think it looks cool. Same colour as the fire on my Felsteed. Ive never actually got any use out of the spell, but it has a chance of stunning and doing massive damage to Demons (who seem to becoming more and more common as enemies as the game goes on. Also, all Warlocks pets are Demons, so i assume it would work on those too)

I think its about 7g for this enchant.

  7. It means that the fire damage wont hit every time, but instead there is a chance that it will.

Unfortunately, you never really find out what the chance is, unless you have the enchant.

Take the chat about Warriors becoming unstoppable killing machines at level 60. Its because they are a class that rely on their gear, and as they get higher, the gear gets better. Chance on hits really can come into play here. And if they do, its happy Warrior time.

Take Sions sword. destiny (112 - 168 Damage Speed 2.60

(53.8 damage per second) Chance on hit: Increases Strength by 200 for 10 sec.) when the chance on hit comes in to play, all of a sudden you are up against a seriously hard hitter, and its Advantage Sion. Im not sure how often it does kick in, but it seems to be quite a lot. On top of the Swords chance on hit, you can put an enchant on. I keep seeing the Crusader one being used in Orgrimmar at the moment. (Permanently enchant a melee weapon so that often when attacking in melee it heals for 75 to 125 and increases Strength by 100 for 15 sec.) now the chance on hit there both heals the attacker, and adds more strength to him. On a decent sword, like the one Sion has, this can equal doom for anything he might want to kill. If one chance on hit hasnt fired off, its likely the other one will, so the player will be buffed for longer. If they both kick in at the same time, then it could be goodnight vienna for whoever is on the reciving end. Ouch!

  8. The dagger, which i have too, is good for a Priest/Mage/Warlock who wants to use a 1h weapon and an offhand item (like a crystal ball/orb, or a spellbook, or a rod) for a stat buff. This can lead to better stats than a 2h staff.

Mages and Warlocks can also use Inventors Focal Sword which drops in the same instance, so we should really step aside for the Priest who wants this to use with an offhand item. Warlocks are quite lucky here, as well as being able to use every offhand item that a priest can use (except class specific ones) we can also make our own offhands for free, just by using a soul shard. We can make the fantasically good Spellstone which at level 60 will soak up 900 points of magical damage (im currently at 650) and at any level will give an extra 1% chance to crit with a magical attack, Locks will run around with this and the Focal Sword, which gives another chance to crit with spells. Locks can also make the Firestone Which puts a free Firey Enchant on our sword (and its 3 times more powerful than the Firey enchant an enchanter can sell) and add extra fire damage to our fire spells too. If you see a Warlock with one of these, he will be using it for the spell damage, not the firey melee enchant, cos Warlocks really never should melee, unless absolutely out of mana. More useful for out and out DPS Locks who have spent lots of talent points in Fire Spells. Its just a shame that these items are soulbound, or we could have a great time giving them out to people. Mages would love them.

A Firey Enchant means that there is a chance on hit that you will do additional 40 fire damage to the target ontop of regular weapon damage. Its probably better for high attack speeds over lower ones (1hs and especially daggers), but it all damage adding. Sie can do them, but they are quite expensive unless you farm the reagents for the enchant yourself.

  9. Been doing a bit more PvPing. I've decided that in group PvP (eg battlegrounds) I own warriors, but lose big style against mages, but in one v one it's the other way round.

If the casters are looked after in Battlegrounds we can be devestating. I mean, they can see anyone who isnt looking at them, and take 3000-4000 health off before the target knows what as hit them. Its a lot harder to play like that when someone is running after you with a big axe though!

One on one, i like classes that cant break fear or seduce, and with slow attack speeds. Thats why im glad im on the same side as undead rogues!

  10. Bumped for Juju. Download, extract, and put in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns (create Interface and AddOns folders yourself if they dont already exist.)

Bookmark http://www.thottbot.com for info. It should help you find where plants are if you want to go flower picking!

    Titan Bar - very handy

Auto Shout Out. Good for instance runs. You will shout out if your health is low, so the priest will know you need healing, and you will shout out if your mana is drained, so warriors wont go steaming off while you have no mana left. (well, actually, they probably still will...)

Spell Alert. If people start casting stuff, it lets you know.

Mob info. Remembers things like the hitpoints and mana points of the computer. Remebers what sort of things they drop, and how often too.

Tip Buddy. Now this is just fantastic.

Scrolling Combat Text. Another great one. This just makes all the moves pop up over your head. I like it a lot

Opium. Allows you to remember the name of any dickheads you dont like, and when you see them again, you get a little popup. So you can go kill them.

And one for TRL, to make finding a punchup easier.

    Defense Tracker

Sits in the titan bar, and logs all the places over the world where ally are attacking our bases. Mouseover, and you can read it, decide whether you fancy your chances or not, then get down there.

Oh, and ive respecced to Demonology. Trading instant damage over times, chance of not being intrupted in channeling spells and the chance on hit for an occational shadowbolt (4%) for more powerful demons, easy to access (but expensive) Voidwalker shields and much shorter summoning times, including an instant cast every 15 minutes (i have almost 4,000 health with the imp out, the succubus has a better seduce and higher DPS, and the Felhunter gives me all his resistances, so basically i could be a mage killing machine) so against mellee classes i can sacrafice the voidwalker for a 2000 bubble shield, then instant summon one of the other demons to suit whoever im fighting (having the wrong demon out was one of my biggest problems in PvP) so hopefully thats addressed. Just need to get to 60 to get my destruction slots back for the big crits (ive lost Ruin, my fave talent on the game, until level 60 now) but as i think ill be running more instances from now on for gear, im hoping ive made the right choice. In instances, my imp gives me 600 health (everyone else gets 400) and reduces threat on me by 20%.

Just gotta learn to play again now!
