It's like he forgets he's playing right back , tucks in inside, ball goes wide and he's too late to prevent the cross. Which you can't trust Torres and Carlos to deal with.

The mental frailty of this team is alarming. It's not just the defending that becomes dreadful, during those spells we are pathetic on the ball as well, either missing easy passing or trying absurd dribbles in our own half.
Embarrassing display, and it keeps happening, against forest, against Luton, against spurs, against city and again today
-
I don't care how good he is on the ball, he was absolutely pathetic for their second goal.
It's like he wasn't even aware that there can be opposition players in the box

Why rest him, you are then imposing your own ban?
Because now he misses two games instead of one

This one gets bonus points for it being a centre back

Now that McGinn is back will Unai rest him given he's one yellow away from a 2 match ban and the bookings will be reset after the game?

How did he do last night? Only caught the last 20-30. Did Rodri dominate?
Poor by his standards, gave away silly fouls, not very controlling when in possession and missed a great chance to make it 2-2.
In his defence, Tim is limited and it can't be easy having to partner him in midfield against the likes of City

That was a poor mistake. Can't be easy to come on against the best team in the world after never playing. That said, by all accounts he had the chance to leave and decide against it. Seems like a bad move for all parties
-
You can see the potential, bright prospect, he'll be happy with his first assist
-
If you pretend the wall incident hadn't happened, you'd say he did all right
-
We conceded a bad goal (Zaniolo), failed a great chance to equalise (Luiz) and although softness/mistakes led to their third and fourth, both were really good strikes which in most cases aren't goals.
Despite all the injuries this was still a very good side and we were decimated. If at the start of the season you were told we'd start a game with Olsen, Lenglet, Tim, Rogers (let's pretend he was already there), Duran and Zaniolo you'd think it was against league 2 opposition.
We did quite well, all things considered

I don't get why he took off Tim and put Chambers on.
Honestly, I'm totally baffled.
We have a thin squad and he's trying things out. Probably last we see of chambers.

Never were we getting a draw here, not with our injury list.
Maybe not a draw, but an equaliser was there to be had and Dougie bottled it

Jumping away from the wall won't do him any favours.
Amateur goal to concede, all he had to do was not be an idiot and they wouldn't have scored. Tough to recover respect from the fans after that

Assist vs Luton, goal Vs Ajax, assist vs west ham, goal and assist last night, it's not just his performances improving, he's delivering, which he absolutely need if we want to secure champions league and/or a trophy this season.

Dinks and the ball coming in off the post are two of the most satisfying kinds of goals.
He ticked both boxes in one and didn't event mean to do it
-
You can see the physical and technical attributes. The mental ones not so much. If he improves on those he could become quite a player
-
Didn't even get booked!
-
Needs to start, Moreno is miles off his best form
-
I like how he runs with the ball but the final ball isn't quite there and defensively he was nowhere to be seen, Coufal had all the space in the world in the first half

Back on the bench next match, offered nothing today
He didn't, but you could say the same about Watkins today.
West ham had both of them in their pockets, denying them any space

He's the type of player who'll be very good when we are in control and very poor when we aren't

I absolutely despise west ham and what they are doing to the beautiful game.

I raised the point before the game.
We don't know how the game would have turned out if he hadn't started, but a point from this game certainly isn't a success and his performance certainly wasn't one of his best
