  1. Here is a tank.

    euaaaq.jpg

And also a vehicle used by the army.

My relationship with Feyenoord is forever, I will definitely keep coming back in the tank.

**** me, he's got a tank. That'll make Ireland's Range Rover look a bit ghey.
Jeez, I thought it was a mistranslation, but it looks like he actually HAS!!!

Yeah, De Kuip is Feyenoord's home stadium and it's known as "the tub" so it's likely a mistranslation.

Although there does appear to be a sizable military tank in the picture...

  2. When they were young, my Dad and uncle loved football but didn't support anyone, so they drew names out of a hat. My Dad got Villa and my Uncle got Man Utd, so I was always brought up on Villa.

He did actually give me a chance to stop supporting them when we lost 4-3 against Liverpool in that Worthington Cup game, as I was pretty despondent. But I decided I wanted to stay with Villa. Best decision I ever made.

  3. Article about him, translated via Google:

    Here

In Nancy, Jean Fernandez is particularly pleased with the performance of his left side, Massadio Haider, he sees very far.

Jean Fernandez has the usual form and leave the good young is one of the goals of his coaching. At the head of the AS Nancy Lorraine, who came out of the red zone after a series of eight matches without defeat, he can quietly prepare for the future. Among the points of satisfaction technician Nancy, the young left-back team, Massadio Haider , really like him. At 19, the player from the training center already has 15 games in Ligue 1 this season, and shows an astonishing maturity. According to an interview with the Eastern Republican , his coach's prediction was "a very bright future if he continues to work like that . "

"Thanks to the coach, I feel I've progressed"

After raising Yohan Mollo (2 goals, 5 assists in 14 games), Jean Fernandez is therefore working closely with Massadio Haidara. For him, his left rear already has a broader range to move to his position: " He is strong in the tackle, he goes fast, it has good technique and the icing on the cake, he even has a big ball striking. His left foot is not nearly as powerful as Taiwo I knew at OM ". For its part, the player who moved into the left corridor knows that he can learn a lot with his coach: " Thanks to the coach, I feel I have already progressed to the level of regularity, concentration and placement. The coach is always there to give valuable advice . "

    Cookbooks Djamel Bakar

Performance on the field, this must Nancy stresses the success to his work in training, on the one hand, but also a perfect lifestyle. Specifying aspects of its daily on which he takes care to ensure, behind left tackle slips a little friendly with one of his partners: " The recovery, sleep, hydration and nutrition are crucial things to be successful on the field. But I'm still not as Djamel Bakar who buys outright cookbooks ".

    "Maintain in earnest"

At 19, Haider has still a big room for improvement, and Jean Fernandez stressed the importance of its partners that surround it well. The player is being followed closely by Erik Mombaerts, who could call in Hopes fairly quickly. On the other hand, the Malian Federation is also interested in him. For now, focuses on the lateral end of the season for his club: " The maintenance is near, we hope to ensure the good against Caen on Sunday. Between the players, we set a goal to remain undefeated until 'at the end of the championship . "

He also apparently had the third highest dribble completion per game in Ligue 1, behind Jonathan Pitroipa and Eden Hazard. Sounds promising.

  4. Its an attention seeking nobody! Jeez.

That guy called the Lambert resignation way before it was doing the rounds last night. Have an open mind rather than shooting him down straight away.

With respect, what he said last night was all over twitter.

Sorry, but I know better than to listen to someone who requests followers for updates.

Wtf? I just said that he said it way before it was announced by anyone else...which is correct, because I saw him post it.

I'm not saying he knows anything more than that. He could just be using that record in order to entice more followers for all I know. But he clearly knew what was going on last night.

  5. Started as Villa last night. Managed to flog Heskey for £1m to MON. Getting offers for Warnock after I whored him out to other clubs, but I want all the money up front and no-one is offering it.

How come Adrian Lamb and Glenn Roeder aren't contracted to us? I'm not sure if Roeder actually has a contract with us, but Lamb obviously does.

  6. Villa are apparently having all the players faces scanned with the new technology like Chelsea and Arsenal did on 11, which is good news for perfectionists like myself.

  7. Classic didn't help, although I did manage a 3-0 away win at Chelsea. Reverted back now. Last four games:

    Liverpool (H) / 3-0 / 67% Possession / Top passer - Pedro (LB) 78/70

    Bolton (H) / 3-1 / 60% Possession / Top passer - Nuno Gomes (LB) 65/58 (Weakened team)

    Leeds (A) / 2-0 / 66% Possession / Top passer - Pedro (LB) 111/104

    Galatasaray (H) / 74% Possession / Top passer - Serrano (CB) 102/89

Interesting that my Pique (Serrano) managed to top the passing charts in that one game. Don't know how that came about. Will continue to tinker, I WILL get this right!

  8. That's weird, I too have been playing the exact same formation as you POB. I've been using it since watching the CL final and it's made me rediscover my love of FM.

How on earth do you get the central midfielders dicate the play so much though? My fullbacks are always the ones who are way ahead in the number of passes per game. I just cannot figure it out.

    Nice :)

Yeah, completely agree about the full backs, I think it's just the match engine, seems almost impossible to recreate the Barca tactic game after game after game. The biggest problem I've found with the 4-1-2-3-0 formation is the fact the opposition goalkeeper gets a lot of the ball and wastes down possesion and chance you have of getting the ball, so I'm currently worked on a revamped sort of tactic, the main problem is getting the balance between possesion and creating. I'm playing the tactic to play like Barcelona, so winning 4-0, constant through balls, chances, goals ...although seems obviously great, doesn't give me the same satisfaction as having 65% possesion and playing great football and winning 2/3-0 would.

Problem is, I don't want to give attacking players constantly 'run from deep' because it means there won't be many options for the player on the ball apart from more through ball type passes, where as I want a calm build up. Unfortunately you can't to do tactics for over the pitch. In the final 3rd, plenty of runs, up until then, players dropping short, keeping it etc...

    Hmmm, we'll see.

Well I've just beat Blues 3-0 with 71% possession actually, so I may be on to something possession wise! Although my top passer was my fullback Pedro who made 93, while my 'Xavi' made a paltry 37.

Think I'll swith to classic tactics, see if that helps.
