Some stories floating around that Fury may pull out of Usyk fight again, anyone shocked by this??

There will be loads of BS stories in the media to try to hype up this fight and sell PPV. As with everything in boxing you can't believe any of it until it happens.

We can’t expect any easy games at this stage of the season in any competition.

I think tonight will be our hardest game. Tonight is the final of this competition, winner takes all.

What a mess, unbelievable that evil people can dictate their will on a nation and then hide it from the world with bots. Makes me wonder where its all going to end, it ain't looking pretty on multiple fronts.

What's unbelievable is that western countries, after two world wars, are just standing by and letting it happen. China must be rubbing their hands and already planning all the new land they can steal with little opposition.

24% average increase?....... That is awful, I hope that doesn't to Villa for next season as I am out to be honest

Have to try to meet those FFP rules somehow. They won't survive another points deduction next season.

Excuse my ignorance, but how would that work?

I assume you would apply (and pay yearly) to be a member and then that would give you a chance to apply for tickets for each game. How and why people are picked for tickets would be at the club's discretion or via lottery. Typically it would help the club get more tourist fans in the door who spend more than the regular local current season ticket holder.

Villa draw tonight and go through, West Ham draw and go out, Liverpool win but go out => (1 + 1 + 1 + 2)/8 = 0.625 points, leaving England 0.017 points behind Germany.

    Villa get a win, a draw, and go through the SFs and, of course, win the final => (2 + 1 + 1 + 2)/8 = 0.75 points.

The German teams all go out in the semis with one win plus a loss (Leverkusen), one win plus a loss (Bayern), and draw plus a loss (Dortmund) => (2 + 2 + 1)/7 = 0.714 points.

    Totals: England 18.375, Germany 18.357

Supporting Coefficient FC is an up and down rollercoaster. I'm not sure I can handle it, it's the hope that kills you.

Sure according to "big Ange" he isn't worried about whether or not they qualify for the champions league. Mate

Of course not. He doesn't seem too bothered about the amount of goals they concede or games they lose either. It's about playing suicidal all out attack brainless football. Mate.

  8. He's s good player, people expecting him to run around like McGinn are going to be disappointed. He's neat and tidy but not energetic or physical. Performs better when we are dominating and not so well when we are under the cosh. He's been a very useful addition to the squad. People also forget he's not a first teamer, he's a squad player.

  9. Is there anything worse than those "fan" channels? Awful stuff. I wonder how far humanity has sunk when people are actually watching that tripe.

Screw the coefficient. It's in our hands to get us there regardless.

This is the reality. 5 games left and 4th is ours for the taking. If we don't take it then we can't blame Man Utd. or West Ham or Liverpool.

I’d take CL. We’d be financially much better off and I’d hope it’ll catapult us into the elite club bracket in a few years.

It won't though. Elite clubs budget for being in the Champions League every season and we won't be able to do that. We could be just like like Newcastle where it's a once off and we are back fighting for a Europa league place or worse.

The main advantage to being in the CL next season would be getting four away trips to some of the great football grounds in Europe.

If only we had a pre-Iraq Blair to go to the Yanks and get them to wake up like he did with Bosnia.

It's up to EU\UK\Norway to keep Ukraine in this until the U.S election. The US will be forever stained for this.

I don't think the republicans would listen to anyone from Europe telling them what to do when it comes to Ukraine. It has been up to EU/UK/Norway to help Ukraine but, In my opinion, a lot of those countries don't realise the seriousness of the situation and have been much too slow to take action. Putin was right about them, they are more concerned with getting re-elected than doing anything useful and they've learned nothing from two world wars in Europe.

Dortmund going through isn't gonna help but Arsenal eliminating Bayern is still the biggest decider.

I dont think arsenal will beat Bayern in Germany. Also Leverkusen have already won the league now so they are big favourites to win the Europa league.

Iirc Chelsea can't do the stadium sale trick as they don't own it. Stamford Bridge is owned by a separate supporters trust entity,

    Or something.

Pretty sure the trust own the pitch. There was a worry back in the day that someone would buy the club just to own the land as it was so valuable in that part of London. So the supporters trust owns the pitch to ensure any redevelopment doesn't screw the club over.

    I think.

They just lack that 20 plus goals a season man.

They spent £50m on Jesus even though they knew he wasn't going to score enough goals for them. Same with the £65m on havertz. Hard to have any sympathy for them really.

  16. 1 hour ago, villa4europe said:

Desperately need a striker, havertz is a good player but they should have spent it on a 9

This is it except Havertz isn't really a good player. He's okay but he's one of those players where you try to play him in a few positions and realise he's no good in any of them. £65m down the drain, should have bought a proper striker.
