They do when we are taking points off them. Less players for us means that's less likely to happen and they can dominate.

We are just as likely to take points off Liverpool, arsenal or whoever their title rivals are.

Strange if they are signing a 14 year old from the US rather than just having their sister club in New York do it.

Trump (if he wins) will fly to Kyiv and Moscow. Draw a line on the map and end the war with the threat of direct American involvement if they don't.

The next few months dictates where they line is drawn.

No chance of this. Trump will do exactly what Putin tells him to do, just like he did when he gave Putin the list of CIA spies (one of whom ended up dead soon after if I remember correctly). Remember that Putin has those videos of Trump with ladies of the evening in Moscow and Trump won't listen to anyone in Europe.

With U.S. and European aid to Ukraine now in serious jeopardy, the Biden administration and European officials are quietly shifting their focus from supporting Ukraine’s goal of total victory over Russia to improving its position in an eventual negotiation to end the war, according to a Biden administration official and a European diplomat based in Washington. Such a negotiation would likely mean giving up parts of Ukraine to Russia.

It doesn't just weaken them, it stops a Newcastle or Villa buying them

I don't think man city are worried about Newcastle or villa either.

I don't think man city sign players in an attempt to weaken the opposition because their opposition is arsenal, Liverpool and maybe United and Chelsea too. Or at least not players like Nunes or Phillips.

How much did they spend on Matheus Nunes? It's Pep's decision only to buy him for a tonne of money, then give him 0 minutes in a tight schedule.

    word removed.

I often wonder who is buying these players. The paqueta deal was the one that they wanted and when that fell through they panic bought Nunes but haven't used him at all. It's like the Kalvin Phillips signing, did pep really want either of them?

  6. I'd take a draw against them. They are decent, they just need a striker who isn't a dud. Nkunku been injured all the time doesn't help.

Him, Klopp and Pep can all get in the bin. There rhetoric around replays definitely had an influence on the decision.

Indeed but they will all have another excuse next season. They will complain they are playing too many European games midweek or that they need a midseason break.

He will definitely be starting on the weekend. we are going to need some fresher legs

I wouldn't be confident he's 100% fit. I think he's carrying a knock for the last few weeks to be honest.

Yeah, true. I just don't really like the idea of a CPO for a football club stadium expansion  -makes me a bit uncomfortable.

A CPO is the only way to do it. Otherwise there will always be one hold out delaying everything and or going to court.

Klopp leaving on what looks to be a very sad note for him, Salah could be off as well apparently... Liverpool could be going the 'post-Ferguson' way it seems. All talk, of course, until we see what manager and what players they bring in.

Liverpool seem to be run much better than United ever were. I don't think we will see a big decline. Salah leaving is the bigger issue, his goals will be very hard to replace.

However, this is more on the likes of Klopp, who for years rubbished the cup and replays, refused to attend one and lobbied for them to go.

It's not really. UEFA are to blame. In order to keep the "big" clubs happy they have expanded the CL into a worse format and as a result of that something had to give. The PL have paid off the FA to get rid of FA cup replays and have abandoned the mid season break to accommodate UEFA.

Fenerbahce away will be a daunting environment, but not sure if Olympiakos away 2nd leg, knowing if they go through they have a home Final, will be any better!

I think  Olympiakos are a worse team overall. We should be able to beat either but the Greeks it is!!!
