  1. To be fair think of some of the Villa results over Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool & Chelsea in the last two seasons. Or anyone else that has beaten these teams. Strange results do happen in real life quite consistently & playing a whole season over a few days may seem like it's happening too much but it's just because you condense all those games into a short time span.

However the injuries after the 3rd sub, the amount of missed clear cut chances and then going to lose 1-0 and keeper errors are still horribly frustrating.

  2. Denzel being a badass - got to be worth a watch

Somehow I missed the fact that they filmed this in Boston. Looks decent enough.

I heard an interesting interview with Denzel in which he said of all the characters he's played, the one he's most like is Alonzo from Training Day

Also his biggest regret professionally was that he turned down the title role of Michael Clayton because it was the director's first film.

Is this not just Man on Fire but starts in a supermarket

  3. Making my way through a song of ice and fire, I won't spoil it here I'll save it for the TV thread. Only on third book, first was a bit of a slog, second was great.

Thought some of the theories I was reading were being creative but there's loads of nudges in the books which aren't in the show.

  6. I'm enjoying the puzzle element to it, it's not complicated but reminds me of Templar layers in the assassins creed games with Ezio. It's the part of the game which gives you something to think about even if it's not hard and what I actually enjoyed about AC in retrospect and why I hated the pirate one and American revolution one.

Watch dogs is fun though, looks great but could have gone a bit further with its theme and I wish the vigilante celeb status really made a difference.

  7. I hope to see Chamberlain, Barkley, Sterling, Wilshere amd Shaw all on at the same point. Although lacking in experience they all have the ability to take on a player. An ageing Italy side in the last 20 mins wouldn't know what's hit them. Although we will get murdered if we start all of them.

They will all probably flatter to deceive.

I would have taken Flanagan aswell, Johnson seems to be getting worse with experience.

  8. Just saw Maisie Williams (Arya) at Paddington station.

While we are relaying train related stories, Sophie Turner (Sansa) travelled on my train from Leamington Spa to London a couple of months ago.

I've seen Sophie Turner out in Leamington a few times. Watching lads clock her then get the courage to go up and ask her (drunkenly tell her) she is Sansa Stark is amusing.

  9. Does anyone know how many games Jones and Smalling have actually played at CB this season?

I'd be surprised if it is very many.

I think Roy should have given Caulker a go, very impressive each time I saw him certainly more commanding than Smalling yet he never even got a sniff

I've got no idea how I missed this. Caulker should be in the squad. Smelling is an appalling footballer.
