That was my lingering thought after watching it.

I thought it was OK, and thought Fassbender did well with very little dialogue, but I thought it was a total waste of Fincher's talent.

2 is OK and 3 is not good at all, and you don't need to have watched them to enjoy the first one and Origins (the first one especially is one of the best FF movies I've seen).

At a push, 2 might be worth your time as it ties in a little more to Origins as the Abbadon Hotel is referenced a fair amount.

Newly arrived on Shudder, and if you're a fan of the excellent Hell House LLC (2015)  then you won't be disappointed. 

Takes quite a but to unnerve me in movies these days but some of the scenes in this managed to do that very well.

Fair few games on the Xmas list (Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen, Spiderman 2, Like a Dragon: Gaiden, Wo Long) so I'm playing Dark Souls 3 at the minute to fill the time. I've done DS1, Bloodborne, Sekiro & Elden Ring but never got round to DS2 or 3 for some reason.
