  1. This has to be a joke? How many times hve you watched him play? People base their opinions on him from Sweden and Cahmps league games. Fair enough he hasnt produced in a lot of champs league games but not really a fair judge is it? Try watching him play for Barca and im sure after a few games that opinion will change. For me, Rooney has only come to life this season after producing regularly in the prem, if my opinion was based purely on England and champs league then he'd be good but not world class. Same for Ibra, he hasnt played for Ajax, Inter and Barca for being shit. No , you are totally wrong.. A coach who has lost all credibility after winning the treble in style and in the best league(imo) , what an idiot for purchasing him , actually paying through their(Barca's) noses and exchanging the highest scoring striker in Spain.. Jesus , the utter stupidity of Pep Guardiola makes me bang my hand in frustration... Im glad we agree. Aye , your Sarcasm detector is mint... :winkold:
  2. Aaron Lewis(Staind) with Fred Durst(Limp Bizkit) Outside(Live acoustic)
  3. Mods in a PC mood today , eh? Very prompt ,good job guys.. Alice Cooper-Poison

  5. Their not even teh same type of player Well he is not a pure target man either... Some sort of a combination of a slow but elegant while on the ball with some one like Jan Koller/Ebbe Sand
  6. I understand the Villa bias here , obviously this being a Villa Forum, but seriously people... Comparing Ibra and Carew ?
  7. Overpriced? Definitely.. World Class? Definitely Best Striker in Europe? No, not as a conventional no 9/finisher Best PLAYMAKING striker in the world?. Hell , yeah.. When Barca bought him in that ridiculous deal , they actually got a better player but the terms of the deal makes no business sense... Ibra is more than just a 'striker'.. He is what I call the 'Totti' brand of players , playing as a striker , creating as a playmaker and finishing as well as starting moves. Only Totti at his peak was better than this 'category' of players , which are few to start with... Et'oo is a finisher who relies on his pace which will drop in 2-3 years. The only reason he scored as much was Barca's creative talent. He wouldn't have scored any where near the number of goals had he been at another club...
  8. And go ahead , make that topic.. Will be very Interesting to see the different picks.....
  9. Aye , my sympathies with ya mate.. I have also faced the same shit in other forums , the lone crusader against the Rap/Hiphop/Dance plague that has affected the younger generation.. A fellow fan is rare , you are welcome mate! Wishbone Ash's Argus was their best piece of work , musically diverse and showcasing the shredding skills of their twin lead's. Amazingly talented musicians , pity they are not as famous as they deserve to be... Ok , a question for you(and other fans of classic rock/metal/punk/Alt , basically anything till the mid nineties , after that the infestation of 'nu-metal destroyed the rock/metal scene, so thats excluded). Just to have a general idea about what you like , etc etc Say , you were picked as a contestant in some reality show , the show being about the contestant spending a year in an uninhabited island with no other people around and a small cottage with all the basic needs addressed. Before starting this year in isolation , you are given a choice. The choice is that you can take all the albums/singles of 15 Bands you like the most , courtesy of the producer.Since its one year in solitude without human contact , what bands/artists you would choose and a couple of sentences stating the reason for the selection. I will post my list but I want some of you guys to do it first (Btw , I am stoned to my eyeballs as I am typing this and listening to 'Purple Rain' by Prince) 8) Clearly, as you replied to yourself, when I think you were trying to reply to me! Must admit I was surprised that you were a young Indian guy, rather than a grumpy old English bloke like me, but more power to ya. Desert Island Discs, though? Well, we've done a few threads like that before - I was thinking of starting another myself, but along the exact lines of the actual radio program, where you pick eight "pieces of music" (naming one of them as the "main" one), one book, and one non-practical "luxury item". And you have to discuss each one, with some explanation of its significance in your life, and why you chose it. I've thought about it often, and of course it's impossible - ANY eight tunes would pall after a while, but it's really an excuse to talk about your life. If I had to do it I'd be torn between pop and classical lists anyway. Will have to give it some thought, then I might start another thread. hehe, yeah... f*** me , I didn't realize i quoted myself... Yeah , not that young , I am 25 :winkold: and my mum is Spanish and introduced me to my first ever rock song when I was 10.... Don't fear the reaper-Blue oyster cult... I was hooked.. The rest is history ,as they say

  11. .. and talking about solos , listen to this one: Maggot Brain-Funkadelic.. Warning , do NOT listen to it stoned , you may lose your mind permanently.. Its total mind***k.. One of the Solos in my top 5 solo list...brilliant...
  12. Love Phil Lynott.. One of the most underrated rock vocalist..Their version of Whiskey in the Jar pisses all over the Metallica cover. The best lineup of Lizzy, too - Eric Bell doing his Jeff Beck tributes was way better than the much-vaunted twin guitars of the later lineups, IMHO. Check out the solo on the B-side of the "WitJ" single, "Black Boys on the Corner". Aye , that is brilliant , proper Rock n Roll as it should be. I don't listen to the tripe they churn out these days-These 'Modern Rock' bands The Twin Lead guitar sparring style was best done by Wishbone Ash , technically impeccable. Another band which is very underrated and relatively unknown in 'classic rock/metal' circles. Scorpions also used it on occasionally, I remember their live album 'Acoustica' played inside a Monastery/Temple. They had three acoustic guitars , two on lead and one on rhythm. The Eagles in their 'hell freezes over' album , used something like 5 or 6 guitarists in the acoustic interpretation of hotel california  . 70's was a great period of genuinely great Rock masterpieces...
