  1. Just finished the second series of Misfits, after nailing both seasons in a fortnight. Utterly brilliant IMO, despite the 'Xmas Special' 'climax' being sloppy and underwhelming.

Still, can't wait for season 3 :thumb:

Yea, I thought the entire episode seemed like a different show altogether. Hope season 3 is better.

  2. Just finished the 6 episode prequel of Spartacus.

    **** amazing!

Just finished it myself . The final battle is **** brilliant . I nearly threw up when Gannicus levers that fella's jaw off in the Primus . :puke::D

That was sheer awesomeness. Best kill ever!

  3. Spartacus is amazing. "Jupiter's C9ck!"

Who else is watching Treme? New Orleans FCKING RULES!!!! I can't wait to go back and visit. Treme is quality, very realistic.

Yeah I've been watching. Been impressed so far.

"And what does good Solonius receive to convince me to spread cheeks and accept deeper ramming?"

    :D

    Love the dialogue!

  4. Anyone watch the new NBC superhero show The Cape?

I've caught the pilot and it seems to have an interesting premise, the show is set in a world not too dissimilar from the dystopia portrayed in the Robocop series. James Frain is in it too, which is great. I thought his stint on True Blood was far too short-lived.

  5. So for once the US should really stay the **** away.
For once? I would hope that the majority of the time it's preferable to not have one state meddling in another state's affairs as it usually ends **** up.

Of course it's preferable for non-intervention. But culturally, US foreign policy is very big in Washington.

Perhaps if the history textbooks in US public schools stopped glorifying their wartime presidents, there might be a change in the zeitgeist.

To be fair it's already happening with the Tea Party Movement, and Ron Paul's campaign for liberty.

  6. The Islamic Republic of Egypt.

It's a scary thought but I remain cautiously optimistic that it won't happen.

Unlike Lebanon or Iran whose only form of civil society consist of deference to Shia clerics, Egypt does seem to have a good political consciousness amongst their people.

Still I think a democratic govt formed with the aid of the US is not a proper solution either. Egypt will become another Israel in the region, seen as a dog of the Americans and the west.

So for once the US should really stay the **** away.

"The United States is trying to contain the revolution and improve its own ugly image in the Middle East and Islamic world ... after years of backing the worst dictatorships our region has ever seen. Be sure that regimes allied with the United States and Israel cannot stand long against the will of the people."
  7. Ash just doesn't have the strength to play in the middle. How many times does he get shoved off the ball there?

    And Petrov is just useless.

Slows the play down everytime. Walker overlaps well but his crossing is often sub-par, he's great through the middle though as proven again today.

    Clark is not a left-back.

    Gabby is not a left-winger.

    Bent was starved of service.

And Friedel was crap today. Sincerely hope this was just one of his bad days and we see no more of such performances for the rest of the season.

  8. Cuellar looked worlds better in attack at right-back today than he ever did under MON. Good passes and composure with the ball.

Still not as dangerous as Walker going forward, but overall I think on today's display, he's the best right-back option we have at the moment. Some phenomenal tackles and blocks.

And Clarky, what a brilliant improvised/reflex block.
