Di Matteo had plenty of time after the transfer window. Bruce has had, err, 0 games.
The players were a lot more capable than RDM had them playing and they are a lot more capable than what Bruce has had them playing. Other than an initial new manager bounce there has been zero change.

Sorry but I'm not biting
I've given my view, some will agree others won't. Everyone is free to their own opinion, I'm just not going to change mine based on any posts on here and I doubt I'll change anyone else's.
So as I said, I'll leave the debate to others.
It wasn't to provoke a bite fwiw.

I think we've achieved the most important thing we needed to this season; we've stopped falling.
Seem to be falling pretty rapidly imo. A couple of months ago, Bruce's undoubted good start brought us to 3 points off the play offs. Now we're miles adrift with him having made a total arse of it since..... and bar a couple of late goals in otherwise dire performances, we'd be bordering on relegation fodder again.

I had little or no interest in giving Sherwood, Garde or Di Matteo time in the job. None of them did enough to deserve it or had done enough in their managerial careers before arriving here to warrant it.
Bruce did well enough early on and has achieved enough as a manager for me to be willing to give him time.
This is especially the case after he just signed half a new team.
I'll leave the tactical analysis and raging debate to others.
For me, he deserves and needs some time.
Roberto Di Matteo who won the champions league? Steve Bruce who has won.........?
I'm in the same position with Bruce, that me and yourself were in regarding RDM......... why on earth are people thinking he needs more time? The team hasn't shown a jot of consistency or improvement for going on 3 months..... and it's getting worse.
No fight, no plan, bizarre and atrocious decisions and an inactive clueless man on the touchline.
No need to continue when there is people out there whose ceilings are not dour route 1 garbage.

Far far from being wrong.

I've forgot past glory. Hell I wasn't even alive for a lot of it.
However, firmly in my mind is a club that's spent close to 80m on assembling a team to compete in the championship. On top of that we pay absolutely stupid money on wages.
My expectations are absolute reality. We should be walking this league. Anything less is poor. What we are witnessing is absolutely shocking.

And coinciding with gabby coming back. Give or take a couple of games.
Atrocious decision.

If I remember rightly, when he was appointed he said it's a new type of role for him as he will be leading training, something he had never done before!

I'm in no surprise that fans are starting to realise, he's shit.

I've slept on it.
Still has to go for me. Ultra dull football that just isn't working. Many other 'inferior on paper' teams outclassing us simply by being more determined.
It's inexcusable. Yes they weren't/aren't his players. Yes we've made a number of signings that will take time to bed in (tho I say again........ we're ALWAYS waiting for our signings to bed in...... We literally never have one who really comes in, makes a difference and hits the ground running), but we're not even showing any form of signal that something may click or work. It's not encouraging in any way shape or form. It's simply abysmal and has been for a couple of months.
There was no reason to continue with RDM, when he dished up a run of shit like this and there's no reason to with Bruce.
Yes we keep changing managers and it's not ideal but we keep hiring shit.
Keep reading he's hurting too and he was fuming last night. So what? He's not paid to Hurt or be fuming. He's paid millions to get results, which he simply isn't doing.

Basically said they need to get back to basics, can't rely on buying talent in. Without the basics it's pointless.
Can't argue with that.
He's said that every week for two months. We go again.

Has to go for me. That's about the tenth game running where the opposition has been quicker, hungrier and stronger.
Not losing to better players or managers, just teams who simply want it more.

Very poor. Got ridiculed when I was saying the Norwich game was the worst I'd ever seen.......
It's only gone and got worse. Absolute horse shit. **** him off and get rowett in

Been saying for a couple of months that questions need to be asked. He literally has no excuses.
I would take warnock in a heartbeat as it stands.

"Villa fans are in complete denial. They are in the championship for a reason, and that reason is not Ashley Westwood"
Villa fans still annoyed we took matt Lowton for peanuts?
I can honestly say I've never given that a 2nd thought.

Delighted with this. Mainly because it means amavi will be dropped or at the very least required to up his game.

He'll do well. Good little player who was consistently picked by a stream of managers who wanted a metronome type player to keep the ball moving. Not flash but largely did the job he was asked to do. Class act off the pitch too. Good luck ashley
A stream of managers that it's widely accepted didn't have a clue what they were doing.

If we did that we'd have to give him all the money we owe him from his whole contract, making him absolutely minted while giving him a free transfer to go to another club and make even more money. It's not really showing the world what you want.
Well it does.... seen as I said 'despite the money'.

The mail reckon if he goes out on loan we are agreeing to pay 25k of his wages. Screw that just sell the knob for less money
Or just sack him and despite the money it costs, send a message to the next inevitable prick that we won't be like every other team on the planet and take it up the arse from players.

My point wasn't really about whether new manager bounces actually exist, it was more that neither RDM or SB have got anywhere near enough from the set of players they had/have. And to be frank..... In terms of SB, you don't seem to have an answer to that.
