  1. Etherington played for them last night so he will obviously be back and is a big player for them. Tuguy was meant to be good as well so he will be a threat. Any news on our squad regarding injuries ?
  2. He will start with carlos at right back, has to with their throws. At least shawcross will still be suspended so thats a plus because he seems to get his head on most of them. It will be a very tough game but hopefually we can nick it. They have a game on wednesday night as well so might take a bit out of them 3 games in 6 days. If we could win here, it would be a massive 3 points in our chase for 4th
  3. With all the teams out of the competition now MON was justified in my opinion to play his strongest eleven available. We have a great chance to get to the final in this competiton and for all we know we could meet a lot easier opposition than man utd in it. I know there is goin to be a lot of games between now and the end of the season but gettin into a winning mentality at this stage of the season is crucial.
  4. Ya he said after the match that he was going to " change it up" so expect changes
  5. Got to mix it up alright. Start the fonz and carew up front. Rest milner and petrov in midfield replacing them with sidwell and delph. Mix up the back four as well and play which ever goalkeeper that isnt playing on sunday. Have to take a few selection risks in this one but Palace will be mad to win it for financial reasons if nothing else. Goin to be a tough one to win when we mix the team up but has to be done at this stage so hopefually we can get away with it
  6. I can see us winning this one 2-0. Be great if we could score early as that will take a lot of pressure of the players as the fans will start to grow anxious the longer this game stays scoreless ( or god forbid we go behind). Can see Milner scoring in this one so fingers crossed
  7. According to sportinglife Scholes and giggs are going to start for Man utd. Nani and Carrick will probably make up the 4. While i think Delph should be getting more of a run than he is, this is not the time to throw him in. Id start with the 2 up top and see if we can cause them problems. Maybe we might even see the Carew that was awesome against them for the 1st half last season at Old Trafford ?
  8. Where is adventures in regards getting off the train. Been to the aston hotel before a couple of times and is a good spot
  9. Going over from Ireland for this one. Get into Birmingham for 3. Any suggestions of were is a good place to go drinking before kick off.
  10. Draw would be a great result here, a far more confident Man u than when we beat them at home before xmas. In saying that we are defending very well of late and would not be surprised if we could manage to keep another clean sheet. There all about Rooney really going forward. Nani would not duely concern me ( and could actually work in our favour if he plays as badly as he can) Should be a good game
  11. We will have to be carefull to about giving away free-kicks in and around our box as spurs more than most teams have quality free kick takers. We gave a few away on Sat and were not punished so have to be a bit more mindfull this weekend
  12. For a very suspect back 4 they have kept a lot of clean sheets lately ( think they had 5 in a row up to liverpool ) and then one more against Fulham a week ago. Would agree that bale is the weakest link in their backline but does offer a good deal goin forward so wingers will have to work hard tracking back ( as they do) and might find some space in behind him when going forward. Would also agree with corluka been very similiar to carlos at right back.
  13. Ya ideal situation would be a blood bath of a match at elland road tomorrow night with spurs picking up injuries and suspensions all over the place. Think they have made a mistake letting keane go because if the crouch defoe parthnership is not working they are short on plan b's. While they have better forward options than us, we have a stronger backline and I think midfield. Interesting how young/ downing will get on with Bale ( who i still think is vulerable defensivily despite the praises he is getting in some quaters lately). If we can go ahead early the spurs crowd might start to get on their teams back as they have been lately so important to start well.
  14. Was at this one and thought we controlled the game very well. 2 forward finishes from gabby ( and hopefually he will kick on now and bang a few more in the rest of the season). Dunne was immense throughout and luke young was like the energiser bunny popping up all over the place. Petrov played well in midfield ( the better of the 2 centre midfielders on the day). The second half was perfect hold what u have football and dictated the pace of the game perfectly. Roll on spurs
  15. Ya Lennon is meant to be out alright so they havent been the say team since he has gone. They battered us at villa park earlier on in the season so we can't play any worse than we did that day ( and we nearly hung on for a win). They have tightened up there defence and not lettin in many goals at the moment but as mentioned defoe isnt hittin the form he was earlier in the season. I can see us getting something out of this one ( especially if defend like we did on sat). A win would be a massive 3 points in the scheme of things but would be more than happy with a point
  16. As I said just going over to London tonight so dont have a ticket or wont be able to get one off any other source than at the ground tomorrow. Seen on the fulham website there that it says that it is sold out. I dont mind where i seat (just want to watch the game). What are my chances of picking tickets up at the gate tomorrow?
  17. They have hit a bad run of form and seem to be picking up a few injuries especially as an attakc threat. Dempsey will be a big loss to them and seen them against Fulham and look short of ideas going forward. That said they looked quiet strong at the back and have big physical defenders who you think would be able to deal with the likes of heskey, dunne collins etc from set plays. Dare i say a nil all draw.
  18. If you went with Delph instead of Sidwell from the start do you think he would be able to control his disciple in such a big game. He seems to get booked almost every game he plays and you would be a bit worried that he might be a bit over keen to show what he has tonight and if we go down to 10 men i think that would be it. I would start with sidwell and access from there.
  19. You need a defensive midfield against Arsenal.....home or away. They way they keep the ball you need some that is able to win it back for u so i say stick with Sidwell tonight. Kind of game that might suit him. As for delph see how it is after an hour and whether worth the risk throwing him on or not.
  20. That good news that Diaby is out, he was excellent against us at xmas. With him and song gone it does leave them vulerable defensivily in midfield so should be a bit of room for Milner to try and work his magic.
  21. Unlike the likes of Stoke, West ham and even Liverpool, Arsenal will come and open the game up and have a right go. It the way they always play and with the way there defence is, can play. The worry is getting over run in midfield and allowing Fabregas to pick up dangerous postions around the box. You have got to get in Arsenal faces ( like stoke yesterday) and have a right go at them. Can see there been goals in this one so lets hope we come out on top. Be great to get a big result like a win at home in this one and start off this tricky period with a win. Ps lets hope traore starts left back again for them because if he does Young or Downing could have a field day.
  22. Thanks Londonlax Just wondering could i just go out to craven cottage and get a couple of tickets on match day for the neutral section ? If anyone could help me with this question would appreciate it
  23. and Clark. No point in playing Dunne or Carlos. Give them a deserve break and let the kids handle this one
  24. This is a great game to get after the highs of last night and calm things down a bit before Arsenal in the league next wednesday night. Would go with the same team as hanky for me. Unleash the likes of delph and albrighton and should be a handy victory. No drama please, don't think the heart can take anymore !
  25. Ok lets forget about Sunday and start looking forward to the second leg. One game now away from Wembley. I think he will stay with Carlos at left back, feels he gives us more stability at the back than Luke who is far better going forward. Probably be the same team as Sunday with the exception of Carew for heskey.
