It’s important not to underestimate our opposition. They’re in the semi final for a reason. This will not be a walkover.

Joking aside. If I was a father looking to take my kid to a match, That would be the last place on earth I’d take them. Appalling that their grubby owners actively encourage their violent tendencies. It’s probably the sheer frustration that they are such a success free zone.

Agents fees should be the responsibility of the players.

No clotted cream teas and pasties, that’s too high a price to pay.

The problem has always been that the progressive vote has been split between Labour and Liberal. The Tories never poll a majority of the electorate. They’re scared of Reform because of the splitting of their vote. Demographics will also be a problem for them, for younger voters they are regarded as poisonous.

As a trade unionist you’ll appreciate how galling it must be to always vote left and almost always get right.
I’m old enough to know that isn’t true.

Perhaps we should take Ireland back.
You miss my point completely. I respect Irelands right to independence, I hope one day to see that Island united.I would respect any decision by the Sots to go their own way, if that is their wish. I argue simply that it would diminish us as a nation if we put barriers between us that don’t need to be there. I’m a trade unionist, one of our great tenets is, unity is strength. I believe that goes for all the peoples on this island we live on.

Pop some money on Blues staying up. They do, you win. They don't, it was only £10 anyway.
And my self respect

Independence is normal.
Perhaps we should reconstitute Mercia, Wessex, Northumberland and Danelaw then. Unity, sadly, is rare, due to human weakness. But it is always better.

No nation ever became stronger by breaking itself asunder. I’ve never subscribed to this tub thumping, flag waving nationalism.Be it Scotland , England or Wales. I have always regarded myself as British, except when it comes to football of course

I agree, we didn't have control of the midfield however, we stopped Chelsea taking control of it with Youri in there. When Diaby came on we gave them full control imo
Agreed. Horses for courses. Diaby isn’t an enforcer, he’s an attacker. We’re simply down to the bare bones squad wise. Be a pity if after such a good season, our lack of options costs us right at the death.

Unsurprisingly, we lost all control of the midfield when he went off.
At no stage in that game did we have control of midfield. We may have competed a little better when Youri was on, but Chelsea’s midfield pretty much ran the show for the majority of the match. Injuries and lack of squad depth are costing us.

Simply allowed Chelsea far too much space and time. There was no press on the player in possession at all. Conversely, they were all over us the minute we tried to play out from our own box.

He was simply lethargic tonight. When he’s good, he’s very good, but he can see games pass him by. For a decent fee, I wouldn’t be heartbroken if he left. Thought Gallagher was excellent tonight, he may very well be available.

If all the German teams get knocked out losing all their games and villa win all 3 games then I think yes
So in other words no
So there’s a chance then

If we win the conference, would that still make a fifth spot for England possible.

He’s a word removed.

Steptoe and son. Galton and Simpson at their finest. Although Hancock runs them close.

Rayner is too clever by half for Dowden. She spiked his guns completely by mentioning her housing issue immediately. You could see him visibly wilt as he cracked a line that she had already preempted. Guy was incapable of going off script. And he is the best they’ve got. They’re toast.

Rayner: "tories are obsessed with my living arrangements"
Dowden then makes a shit joke about her living arrangements
Dowden is a grade one tit.

Sometimes I get the feeling we’re just in the way. The game is losing its soul.

I wish they’d stop calling them the “big six”. They’re just six clubs, period. We’re the biggest club in the second biggest city. Don’t consider any of them as bigger than us. They’re the most successful clubs of the last few years, sure. But that is a transitory thing. Sky and other sycophantic media like to consider them as the big six. They’re just clubs.

Couldn’t care less about the merits or otherwise of VAR. I simply don’t like it, it disrupts games and takes away its spontaneity. I’ll take the game decisions as the ref sees it, warts and all.
