That clip 5 mins from the end with us 2-1 up in Europe and the villa fans looking thoroughly depressed sat down arms folded...
Miserable words removed, completely flat
It's so detrimental
And someone will no doubt say "oh its cos the players conceded a shit goal again" it's not, we're just miserable as a fanbase
It was absolutely because we conceded. It’s a great win, but in that instance it felt like a loss

Moved from apparently wrong forum:
surely, respective owners cannot be discussing a ground share arrangement? Plans to redevelop North Stand cancelled/suspended and Blues in the same time period getting new ownership who secures a large land plot rather central in Brum - we all agree that a new super-stadium quite simply does not make any sense for Blues alone. Not saying this will happen at all, and most likely I am just paranoid, but strange and not really explained decision on North Stand coupled with unrealistic new stadium for Blues.... Foreign owners involving US fund structures could be the ones to do such a crazy thing. So, in order to stay within topic: Could that be a new Villa stadium?
I said similar, and something I could see Heck proposing. I just hope he’d get laughed out of brum for the suggestion

I am planning to bring my father to the Chelsea game, and use the Lower Ground experience. We are coming from Norway and as such have limited history (my last game at Villa Park was in January 2020 against Watford). I tried to buy two tickets from the web page, but was not allowed. Is there a lot of hassle to get tickets to family and friends? Or am I just a muppet who does not understand the things to do?
I don’t know about the Terrace View specifically, but everyone getting a ticket in the ground does need a client reference, so you may need to add one for your dad.

When you think, last season after Diego got injured we got Bendnarik on loan, then this season when Mings got injured we got Lenglet, it shows how far we’ve moved as a club.
We won’t sign him permanently, but he’s played a part in getting (keeping) us up the table and deserves credit for that.- 7

I don't understand why their investor owners are interested in them as a club, but also in regenerating the area. The West Midlands is one of the poorest areas in the country. So many of the sporting attractions we have do not sell out, or have even been close. Off the top of my head it's only us and Wolves who sell out, or consistently come close to it. We've lost dog racing tracks, we don't have a major rugby team in the area any longer (and even then the Ricoh was very rarely more than half full for a Wasps game, and that was only ever against Leicester Tigers), Edgbaston only sells out for England games, (although attendances do increase for the T20). Realistically, the blues will forever be in our shadow in terms of support. I'm not being biased, it's just fact. I just don't get why they're doing it. If they do go down, and if we can maintain our relative success, this gap is only going to increase with the next generation of locals latching onto us.
Other than for housing, I don't see what benefit building all this will have for the investors. The council is skint too, they're not going to be investing in Birmingham for a long while.
At a guess it’s more about the city than the club. The new ground site they have purchased is pretty close to where HS2 is. I’d say it’s to with that and build up American commerce (I think it was originally mentioned the Saudis were doing similar in Newcastle.

Eric Dier
And that's after what I just read.
Apparantly he's in his prime, playing the best football of his career and should be in the England squad.
He's been that amazing this season that he's played a grand total of 10 games at Bayern
What a bell end.
He’s not a good player, but 10 games since signing in Jan isn’t the worst

Have we just kissed goodbye to our only chance to avoid a PSR breach?
Personally I’ve always thought Emery would prefer to sell Dougie and keep JJ

Luckily I never got taken to Blues. I did go to The Hawthorns. Albion beat Hull 5-0 Bob Taylor scored a hattrick. My uncle who took me was convinced I’d be an Albion fan like him because of the game. Luckily, the week before I’d been to my first ever Villa game, we also won 5-0 against Swindon and Dean Saunders got a hattrick, there was no way I was turning.

I was thinking about their squad lying in bed last night.
RodriHaaland
Foden
Silva
Alvarez
Ederson
Dias
de Bruyne
Imagine if other top European sides had just 1 of these players in their squad they’d be a star player. City have them all (plus others who could arguably on the list like Grealish, Walker, Stones).
It’s ridiculous they have amassed such an over strength squad and smashed the rule book to pieces. Nobody else comes close to such a collection of world class players.
I really hope they get the mother of all punishments.
Real Madrid have just as good a squad of stars

He seems fine on insta promoting beanie hats

Looks knackered and in need of a rest. Wonder if we’ll play Tielemans and McGinn Saturday and give him time off
-
We got 4/9 without him (and let’s be honest even with him we’d have lost at city). That 3 game break will have done him the world of good and will now come back firing for the run in.

Running with the ball Zaniolo looked very good and brought the team into play well. Definitely has a part to play this season still

Zaniolo had a shocker but I also think Olsen could have got there (someone else said this can't remember who).
Konsa has also turned away from it, the ball is actually closer to Konsa.
Yes Zaniolo should improve there but he isn’t the only one to blame.

At times was the only one repelling city attacks, he’s so good a defender.
But, whilst not as much as Zaniolo, he also turned in the wall.

Is he suspended for Saturday?

Apparently interested in Julian Ryerson from Dortmund

Came on after 20 minutes today. Not sure if he’s been injured before or just not selected

Rodri is more important to Man City than Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland combined.
Not sure that’s unpopular, most will say it

He’s so good on the ball. One stage in the first half, went past one player, then got closed down by 2 others, he remained calm, turned all 3 and then played a pass.
