Why has everything off the pitch at Aston Villa has seemingly turned to shite recently?

I’ve just renewed for the 16th time and that was the messiest yet, most difficult so far. I’ve done it on finance and I’ve got about 35 emails from doing so.

I can’t wait for the digital season tickets next year, I’m sure that’ll be flawless.

Yep took me 4 attempts to go through. First time I wanted to go finance, but then saw the surcharge and cancelled. Then 3 times, when tried to verify my payment, it blocked me seeing the link from my bank account. I eventually had to do it on laptop and not phone. So much effort

i believe dortmund had a real issue with fans hoarding season tickets and re selling for too many games and they introduced something where if you didn't attend something like 90% of games in a season you weren't allowed to renew but i'm not aware of any english clubs doing the same. a spurs season ticket holder i know has been to about 2 games in the last 3 years for example and sold the rest.

Yep the spurs way is even better than ours, they allow a resale straight off with the ST holder getting 100% of ticket price .

Bloke who sits next to me at VP has said if you resell to club too many they threaten to take off you, think he said his mate hadn’t been able to make most of the season and had sold off loads (via the OS)

I’m not sure they ever advertised it, but my friend saw the official Twitter site, saying to dm them and they’d sort. As I don’t have Twitter, he asked for the email (as I asked him to dm them and they wouldn’t accept it)

If I can't go to a game as ST Holder, I can allocate my ticket to anyone as long as they're registered on the website (not a ST holder, not part of a membership scheme, someone who's been to a game before and has a Fan ID) and there's no consequence? I could give it to my brother, as long as I tell the club, I get 'the stamp' (as such, if it ever matters for home games), there's no charge and nothing else to think about?

Spot on, I’ve given mine to a few different friends this season when I can’t make it. You just can’t allocate it yourself via the website (which would make it easier). But if you email ticketsales@avfc.couk they’ll sort it, with your ticket ref, and the name and reference of the person who you want to give the ticket to, it’ll be transferred 

I dont watch other football outside of Villa very often, and even when I do it’s either at the ground or at the pub, so I don’t listen to much punditry. But what is the point of Rio Ferdinand? After he pops up and says, don’t worry if Vini Jr has missed the target, he’s confident he’ll keep going…. Wow so insightful thanks for that

Yeah I do it, just email them the new client ref to move it to and they do it. Tickets must be on sale for the match though you can’t do it months in advance

Didn’t we apply to change our accounting year? I can only imagine the lateness of ST sales is in relation to that, can’t think why else we are waiting (still doesn’t explain why they won’t release the price list).

On the involvement of the stadium in the Euros 28, was any further clarity given? As the notes questioned I thought it was needed a stadium expansion for acceptance
