We should of really went all out to sign wesley sneijder, obviously we cant go all out Like Moneybags City & throw money at everyone but just signing one class high profile player and paying him enough so he will come to us will step up our clubs profile & make us a hell of alot better team. Instead of chucking in a kid from league one into Barrys position :/ After being a long suffering Villa fan & watching us come so close so many times without giving it the extra push just pisses me off! Anyway rant over & it wasn't a transfer question so theres no point warning me.

General would you agree that todays performance against an average Wigan side was complete Shite? And goes to show we are nowhere near good enough to progress with the current squad after not replacing Laursen/Barry?

Well even with Lerner we have spent far less then teams like Newcastle, spurs that have been spending for years and they have managed to get nowhere. I think we are going the right way now about it. We have a quality manager & a good chairman that lets MON get on with it. We are bringing in youngsters through the ranks & buying quality young players like Young, Milner & Davis. We still need that extra bit of quality in cent of Midfield like Gerrard or Lampard which isnt gonna be easy to come by with other clubs competing with us that have more money for wages etc, and replacing Laursen isnt gonna be easy. But I think we are one of the most exciting teams in England to watch & with a bit of luck we can crack the top 4 at some point.
