  1. time waits for no man! randy must act as soon as the ref blows up after the liverpool game,we need a new manager along with his staff settled along with new blood, if we keep this stale smell floating around the likes of ash will be off & downing too. IF randy brought in a moyes! who knows..ash might stay! im sure if gh stays ash will do1
  2. sir alex is staying on so if randy doent land moyes within 6weeks .....
  3. i think gh will be in charge come august
  4. i think is best all round if gh & his staff were replaced,gh health is not good & to go into a fresh season when pressure is his so high to get off the mark fast is to much for him. maybe a job as a director of football of something might suit gh but thats the lot. we need to act fast & get the new staff in on & off the pitch ready for pre-season,ready for the 1st game
  5. lets see what happens in the next 6 weeks then.
  6. Why wouldn't he? Villa and Everton are similar in size, but they're skint with old crumbling stadium with not even as much as a hint of any new investment. Perhaps after all these years he feels like a new challenge? We're Aston Villa, not Crewe Alexandra you know. We need to be ambitious. we are aston villa your right mate,we have a few quid & a great stadium,a few good players.. however..we struggle to sell out (fact),their alot more wrong that wright at villa at this present time,if i was moyes i would stick around at a skint club untill sir alex leaves As I said earlier in this thread, I have it on good authority Moyes will not be leaving Everton for us this summer. I also explained my own personal views on why not as well. And we're hardly a fountain of opportunity right now are we? i agree..if i was moyes i would stay well away from villa..out side of the midlands i dont think aston villa are regarded as a big club. David Moyes has worked miralces for years at Everton. Very little money, constantly selling the better players to others, having to buy players from the lower leagues or find cheap foreign talent and an unbelievable amount of injuries. Yet, he still manages to get that club to finish in the top 10 season after season, no matter what kind of start they have. He has managed to get them into Europe many times, as well as get them into a Cup final along the way, oh, and let's not forget the fact that he managed to break into the top four without spending the millions that the likes of Spurs and Man City have! Put yourself in Moyes' place. He's been at Everton for ages and what has he won? What are his chances of winning something with that club in their current financial state? Players such as Cahill, Distin, Howard, Neville etc are all reaching the time when their standard of play won't be up to what it used to be. If you were in Moyes' shoes wouldn't you consider joining someone else and having a fresh challenge? The chance to join a club with a great tradition, stadium, ambition, a decent enough squad to start from, a very fair and understanding owner and money to spend. I am sure that David Moyes would find a Villa approach VERY difficult to turn down. correct but theirs no way moyes will leave, yes if moyes was appointed this would be a great coup for villa but i just dont see it.
  7. i take it your over the moon under gh then guys?

One bad season doesn't make for the end of the world you know. how do you know there is money to spend, and if our owner was that ambitious why have we sold our best players year on year, and it looks like the same will be happening this year. I wouldn't say its the end of the world, but i'd say its the end of us as a top 6 side for many years to come..your right..all we hear is the wage bill requires cutting, yes we have had to sell our best/better players but i dont blame randy for the sales of jm/gb.
  9. it felt the club was in safer hands with mon in charge, every team has injurys, villa are not in a false position in the league from the 18 home games i have seen this season. im ready for change & i hope randy does the correct move early

We need to be ambitious. we are aston villa your right mate,we have a few quid & a great stadium,a few good players.. however..we struggle to sell out (fact),their alot more wrong that right at villa at this present time,if i was moyes i would stick around at a skint club untill sir alex leaves The attendance thing is irrelevant. More fans turn up when the team is doing better. It's the way it's always been at Villa Park. It would be no different under Moyles. Our attendances are usually better than Everton's anyway. is that down to villa park having more seats?

  13. i still think steve mcclaren is the man, proven in the prem, knows the game in uk/germany/holland,.not intrested in fat sam, moyes wont leave,sm has alot to offer imho,
  14. im not being funny but why would moyes leave everton for villa? i dont think for a second this will happen,i think the gh was huge mistake but randy has a great option due to gh health to remove gh.. lets not dick around here..this season we have been very poor, records have been smashed against us,been beat by rivals..the list goes on! we need to draw a line through the season, appoint a manager as soon as the season has drawn to a end & get the dead wood out & install a team with passion to match the passion of the faithfull
  15. wasnt a classic was it.. i thought downing did ok,nice to see his tackle (twice), nrc & petrov lacked vision & ideas from the middle, the defence looked ok,lacked faster pace football which leads to nothing.
  16. dunne was out jumped by jones for the goal, dunne carnt jump for toffee
  17. i thought we played ok at best, bent again looked class with his finish,i only wish he had more service, super marc looked bright on the right untill ash decided he wanted to play on the right, stoke came for a point & it felt like a loss as they got thier point..the ref was poor for both sides
  18. True, we'd probably be seeing McClaren talking about the need for 15 points to stay up! whys that then? sm won the league in holland with fc twenty & a cup..won a cup with boro..let me know if you can think of gh winning a double or a championship. won 5 trophies with liverpool in 1 season. and the league with lyon twice on the bounce were not liverpool, look at the state gh has took aston villa to now,if you think or are enjoying the reigh under gh then fair play to you,if you read my posts from last year i thought sm had something to prove in english football,gh on the other had offers nothing.
