For me both Purslow and Gerrard are to blame for this mess and both of them should be falling on their swords for it.

Tell me that this is not a face of a  man who  has just found out he is about to be sacked

The only pool our stevie will be going to is the one in the hotel in marbella next week when he gets "sacked"

On a basic level i can really understand and agree with what he is saying though..He just needs to phrase it another way or he risks causing leon trouble/embarrassment which  we dont need at the moment

@JAMAICAN-VILLAN you should check out his you tube video where he says that leon is a lamborghini and that steven gerrard is using him like a volkswagen or something to that effect..very funny.

If we sign craig dawson we should just turn out the lights at villa park and migrate somewhere else where the new world order is not happening.

You should not be surprised to hear this..Leons father/agent has been saying this for months now on  his podcast/you tube channel

He has even critised gerrard for benching Leon and had said that he had phoned up gerrard to let him now how he was feeling.

I hate the system that gerrard is trying to play..it just does not suit aston villa or the premier league.

we are too small as a team, having 6ft 4 (Mings) and a 6ft 2/6ft 3 (Bednarek) in central defence, might help us where we are currently quite weak (ie:height/strength/aggression).

Might be one of those where the player in isolation isnt "amazing", but his "assets" might help the team overall.

You are spot on..thats the reason he is being brought in.he brings height and psychicality into defence that we severely lack..Its why we cant defend against crosses and set pieces.

Bit of a strange one this..but hearing on the grape vine that EMI Martinez injured his left hand badly in training.

Treat this as a Rumour until we can confirm it.
