Cant see archer getting time today when bolton is coming up early next week

I swear it feels like we are the only club consistently buying players(disregard  kamara and Carlos) that we cant sell on..The old regime in charge have a lot to answer for

I remember someone on here saying that diego carlos is never injured..then someone else replied that with the villa curse he would be probably crocked in a few weeks....

Positives today were Buendia and Kamara and special mention to JJ who tried his best.

Negatives we are very weak defending in general..especially set pieces..Coutinho having no impact and you cant play mcginn and  JJ together its leaves us open thru the middle.

Oliver watkins needs to be replaced , as the season goes on he will cost us a lot of points by not converting stonewall chances and  you cant get away with that in this league.

I cant see us Challenging for top 8 this season playing like that especially against a poor everton side.

I am also through experience not going to get excited about winning this match as it is always in Villa's modus operandi to throw it away.

It  baffles and worries me for the rest of Gerrard's tenure however long it lasts That he is seeing something in Mcginn that 90% of the villa fanbase cant see.

I mean its crazy to think that he is using his favourites over the players that are in form , for example Konsa over Chambers and Coutihno over buendia and Jacob ramsay's form fell off a cliff months ago and  also needs to be dropped to get his perspective together.

Gerrard was quoted as saying that he wanted fast moving exciting possession based football..I wonder if the coaches have told the players that yet, It took him four years at rangers to build a team that could beat a poor celtic in a 2 horse league...he wont get that here..dare i say he wont even get the next 4 months if he does not turn around the dressing room.

From the outside looking in i like Sanson as a player..2 previous manager's not wanting him to play for whatever reason is worrying also.
