Is it possible to hear Very Supersticious by Stevie Wonder and not start to move your body in time to the music?

Agreed, I am the same with smelling like team spirit by Nirvana.

Article this morning on the BBC about the disappearance of Little Chef's from our roads. They mentioned their "famous" Olympic Brekkie.

Looking at it, if they'd invested in ramekins, thy might still be trading.

Due to my health issues the only items on that plate that I could taste is the beans. I don’t eat any of the other stuff now. Breaks my **** heart.

Indeed. Big RT fan. I have a ton of his albums and I feel an overdue deep revisit about to set in. Though have to do it when my wife is out, she’s not a huge fan 😀

He used to come around here almost yearly, either in Chico where I live or Sacramento, but it’s been a while. Seen him live a lot but not in past 5-6 years

My wife isnt a fan but I like him a lot. The title track from that album is one of my all time favourites.

I was awoken by a copper in the wee hours once in Plymouth while sleeping in my car and told exactly this. I'd put my keys in the boot though and that was enough to pacify the situation to a more reasonable 'carry on then but technically I could still do you if you can gain access to them'

I wonder if the same laws apply to @Seat68 (or other motorhomers) and his motorhome? I mean it's kind of the point there isn't it? Are they technically breaking the law to be drunk in a layby or (like me in the 90's) a council owned car park?

I believe if I am in possession of the keys I would be in trouble. If I am wild camping the keys are never on me. I have never had the police knocking on my door though.

While he never broke the law, I can never get past Seinfeld being a child groomer

The idea that Seinfeld would be too "edgy" in an era in which It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia exists is so wide of the mark though. You can't even make jokes these days, says star of the world's most beige sitcom.

He did a show about wanking in 1992 on US primetime television. That was fairly significant.

One for the unpopular opinions thread?

What is their one decent song?

Where to start, Paninaro, Jealousy, Being Boring, Its a Sin, Shopping, Heart, Weat End Girls, Kings Cross, Love Comes Quickly, Rent, The Pop Kids. I could go on.

My other half has been wanting to go to a Jane McDonald concert. I’ve been very positively encouraging her. My standard speech on ‘music is music’ and how I bet it will actually be a good night with audience interaction, anecdotes and rollicking good crowd pleasing songs.

I think I’ve just realised she means both of us.

I’m literally sat here now strategising how I stay sounding super super positive and then come up with the thought hey! This could be more of a friends / book group kinda thing.

One for the confessions thread. A few months back I had a very similar conversation with my wife. Now it seems we have tickets to see Jane McDonald in blackpool later this year.

I listen to a podcast which covers various sitcoms and Dear John was one that they did. They weren’t particularly complimentary. Didn’t hate it, just not enthused by it. From their perspective it comes across like it was John Sullivan finding something to do between series of Only Fools and then running out of enthusiasm for it.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Belinda Lang came out of it positively.

Successful US remake though, again, as far as I can tell.

It was excellent for its time.

Think we're up to about 20 plus entries already.

Somehow I'd missed off shows I love (was watching Arnold Rimmer clips on YouTube yesterday morning).

Might need to do a World Cup style elimination instead of a poll. Can VT do that without faff?

Do you not remember the animal world cup? VT did that faff

I noticed this evening my local record shop has 4 versions in stock, each with 1 different track on it.

Personally, as someone happy not to be a completist, part of me thinks best of luck to her if some tube decides they need to buy all versions.

But by the same token, it does actually suck, and hoovers up industry capacity and kids spending money she really doesn’t need.

So I’m stuck somewhere between it being fine, and it being selfish and greedy.

I kind of came to the conclusion that I stopped playing her albums 3 albums ago so have ducked out of buying the latest. That said I only buy one version anyway.
