Well what a glorious waste of time that turned out to be.

Purely for information as I don't have a great deal of knowledge about this conflict, certainly not enough to contribute to this thread but EpiPen is manufactured by an Israeli company I believe.

  2. Start of shorts season today, unless it's an office visit then that will be it until November. Saltrock and not some over priced Instagram shit.

I'd be surprised if this nifty little regional band from Tennessee -- signed to Sire, at one time -- ever made an impression in England. Very early-90s American pop with on the edge of tweeness. The fashion hasn't aged too well, but the songwriting was excellent. I used to be spam this tune in postgraduate school days.

I remember listening to a copy of their album down in the shacks where the satellites grow. I may have come to them as I liked 10,000 maniacs and a recommendation for them came via that route. I don't remember much about the album in all honesty.

The world has turned inside out. I’m listening to this because… the missus bought it herself, she bought an album, the missus actually shelled out money for a record. She’s also coming to all the gigs I currently have tickets for.
At least she bought a great album but if she thinks for one minute Qu**n are getting brought into the house she can do one.

It's a faultless album, it even appeals to people who complain in non music threads that someone mentioned music.

Well, in some late night negotiations, we’ve just agreed that our house can be a location for the local Uni to do some filming for the masters film / screenwriting course end of year piece.

They get the house for a couple of days. We get a cake.

    They’ve verbally promised it’s not a porno.

It's never porno until a plumber, 2 goats and Gillian McKeith turn up. Get it in writing.

WearOS watches use an eSIM. AIUI, you can have it cloned with your main number or it can be separate. Most networks offer eSIMs.

Wouldn't it have been a good idea to ask this before purchase?

I have only just been involved in this decision. Seems that as I see it Bluetooth will be enough.

  7. My wife has just bought a galaxy smart watch LTE version. She wants to be able to have calls to her mobile and her watch and choose wear to answer them. Is there a plan or sim that allows this that isn't financially restrictive. She is currently on a smarty tenner a month plan.

I could be wrong but I thought you were based in the States. Would that not make you a 'cellphone' user and not a 'mobile phone' user?

I thought he was from the western outpost, the English annexe. Wales.

I think we were making sweeping generalisations here weren’t we 😁

There is some data here from the US (though I imagine trends are similar) that says boomers buy properties earlier in their lives than the generations after them. Though now it seems Gen Z might be getting on the ladder earliest of all, with the article suggesting it is possibly with the help of the bank of (boomer) mum and dad.

I would have portfolio as more than one.

No. Not on this. It's bravado. It's about showing perceived wealth. These may be criminals, they may, or they may have hired a car to make their mate feel good after doing time in prison.

so a month on and some progress , my GP was brilliant , she listened to me , couldn't rule out the heart or the stomach so got me down for extensive tests on both

couple of weeks back I had an Ultrsound & MRI  on my heart and then wore a heart monitor for 7 days  ...got the call today from all the tests

all clear , actual words were your heart is very strong and in top condition , no furring in the arteries or anything , told me keep up the exercise and stay healthy ..

I also had an endoscopy last week  and they found a hiatus hernia during this  , which interestingly in some instances can manifest in a way that  appears like a heart attack   , should be curable via medication  , just waiting on results from the stomach biopsies they took though to be sure

Was nauseas , sick and all over the place yesterday , so not fully out the woods , but it would suggest that a cure isn't far away for me now and I can hopefully get back to a normal lifestyle ...

come a long way from the first doctor who told me to park my ego and accept I was getting old and thus I shouldn't expect to be able to run at a high intensity without feeling out of breath and nauseas

My doctor is dreadful. He has prescribed shrugs and isn't willing to try anything. After badgering I had a CT scan yesterday but am months away from a neurologist.

Saw a Facebook video doing the rounds of some wannabe gangsta (maybe) Indian lads, waiting for there pal to come out the gates after jail time. They pull up in 3 lambourghinis all masked up and pop open a expensive bottle of bubbly right outside to celebrate his release.

Now forgive me if I'm wrong, but Im sure those lads have not purchased 3 250k lambos with money from there job at Aldi, especially since they are also covering there faces. So maybe it would be a good idea for the police to investigate them, knowing they are pals with a newly released criminal.

Same at Asian weddings, the long procession of high end cars. All of them should be investigated as clearly they would be purchased from the proceeds of crime.

This ticks a lot of the wrong boxes.

Live recordings of popular bands on little labels are often for completists.

Not this one, it has much wider appeal.

The band sing and play beautifully and the offered samples suggest a crisp stereo recording.

@Seat68, this Bluegrass banger might be one to put a smile on your face?

I need it at the moment. Will give it a listen later I think.

  14. So none of you had parents who sat grumbling watching top of the pops and saying it's all noise. I stress you have all turned into your parents.

  15. Raye is fairly solid as it goes, I suspect her new artist status is some comment on her emancipation from a restrictive record contract. A practice that a lot of the Brits committee are guilty of endorsing.

I don't think I am well. I have had a headache for a month or so, not a bad one, just a bit of a headache. 2 weeks ago my eyes started itching and getting sore. Then the right side of my face, eyebrow to forehead became completely numb. So I had a trip to the dentist, opticians, GP and no issue was found. 111 suggested I go to A and E, which I did, blood checked and no issue found but referred to a neurologist. Today I have an appointment with my GP to discuss that referral. 3 days ago the left of my face went also completely numb and the eyes got itchier. At night it's almost impossible to sleep due to the feeling slightly of something dripping into my eyes and the moderate headaches.

I think there is some kind of infection but no one has picked up on this and prescribed antibiotics.

This is still going on but worse. Completely numb face and head, mouth and tongue. No sense of taste and an ache in my arms and shoulders. I do have a CT scan on monday. My blood has been checked so hopefully the CT scan won't show anything and the neurologist who has a six month waiting list will.
