im on the 8:40 from snow hill aswell. u uying a super off peak return?
9.20 from New St anyone?!
-
Me and my fellow ST holder are both working til 3, driving there straight after - does anyone know any free parking closeby?
(Never been to Blackburn before!)
There was a school about 20 minute walk away that had a pretty big car park open a couple of years ago, within a mile or so of the motorway junction too, I'll try find the name and address.....unless anyone else knows where I mean

Fact: James Milner will be eating Christmas dinner on Christmas day and will still play amazing the next day against Arsenal.
Fact: James Milner told the Premier League to move this game to the 27th so he could enjoy his Xmas lunch then have a jog down to London on Boxing Day to blow off the cobwebs

When Gabby intercepted the ball off Fletcher and tried to pass it too Heskey, he could have easily slotted it past Kuszczak himself. Oh well.
Or even Young! Ashley that is...!
-
Can't be arsed reading the whole thread but to me Cuellar MOTM, although Heskey was excellent (again 3 decent performances from last 5 i make it) though can imagine he's been slated again!
-
Lets hope theres a fair few in there.Weve booked into the preston travelodge £19 per room !
Ha ha same here, booked it at the weekend!
Could well be, as anyone going on the train will miss the last train back to Brum given the 8pm ko. Should be back in Preston centre for about 10.45, for hopefully a few half-time celebratory beverages!

I don't want to see us go 4-5-1 at home to Hull either but I agree we look a lot more solid with 3 in the middle and don't get overrun- so I reckon we **** go for it with a 3-5-2!- we'll put them on the back foot right away, they won't know what's hit them and I reckon we could give them a right going over.
Here's my line up which I think would be just too strong for them and throws everything we have at them, what do you reckon?
Friedel
L Young Dunne Cuellar
Downing/Ash Petrov Reo-Coker Milner Ash/Downing(ie switching flanks as they please)
Gabby Heskey*
*with Carew coming on with 30 mins to go to really finish them off.
There is no way Hull would score more than we would with that line up, in fact I think we'd keep a clean sheet too-guaranteed 3 points in the bag!!
4-0 to the Villa, yes I am in a great mood, feeling very optimistic and in the xmas spirit!
Yeah I'd completely disregard one of our best players this season not to mention one of the top 3/4 left backs in the league! 4-4-2 will be fine and i'd imagine the only change from Tues night will be Friedel back in.

Ah well that's ok then, might well crack open a couple of cans of Harp!

Tonight is Stella and Smirnoff.
Good day so far BOF?!

Will be meeting up with a couple of Burnley season ticket holding mates who I went to Uni with, will try and get the low-down from them asap.

.... Harry "Chequebook manager" Redknapp
Just a few tiny inaccuracies concerning your "Chequebook" tag:
1) It's not 'spend', that counts, it's net spend. The net spend in the last 16 months (i.e. including the summer window of '08 onwards) is not 'almost 150m' - it's 44m.
2) Harry was not in charge until after the summer window of '08.
3) The net spend this last summer (09) was not a net spend at all - it was a net gain of 5.5m
4) Spurs have announced today profits of 33.4m for the 12 months til June 30th 2009.
Based on the above, it'd be more accurate to call him Harry "Record Profits" Redknapp.
Blah blah blah, we still hate the tnuc, so we'll analyse figures as we see fit!
-
There we go Chindie and Stevo both summing up both sides of the argument pretty well, however I reckon that a good 'rack' can sway people either way.

I'm digging the curvy-love!
It does appear to have taken off pretty well!
-
8 or 10 isn't very curvy. It's thin.Curves > Skinny girlsMy girlfrined is an 8 or a 10. Curvy. And is **** awesome.
Hear hear we're talking a good 12/14/16/18!
-
Random question but seeing as it's the general chat thread....Is there a section or topic on here about upcoming gigs etc, sure i've come across one before but can't for the life of me find anything.
-
I'm a curvy girl
Isn't that just a nice way of saying 'fat'? (I've never met you, but a few friends of mine who are girls say 'curvy' is just a polite/nice way of calling someone 'fat')
That's terrible!
Curvy is good

Is it lunchtime yet?
-
Covered in full fat mayo too...surely!
Why of COURSE! If it's 'light' it's just not the same...
Going to have to agree without qualifying the statement, as have never even been down the 'light' road!
-
Hmmm I think we're being a little salad critical. I'm a curvy girl with a pretty large appetite, I eat, a lot. I do enjoy a nice salad, that's not a small salad with a few leaves, it's a big salad with lots in it.
We're not talking a few lettuce leaves:
We're talking warm chicken, big cherry tomatoes, dressing, maybe some cheese:
Covered in full fat mayo too...surely!

Well, a year ago the winner of this title would undoubtedly have been Petrov, so it just shows there is hope for Heskey to settle into the side and show what he can do for anyone who has a bit more patience than a hyperactive gnat.
And what do you think the chances of that are Briny..... how many people on here will re-track and admit wrong! Not that it'll necessarily happen of course!
-
Ps how nearly 50% say he is the worst MO'N signing is just such shit, surely even Heskey haters have half a brain to realise he's nowhere near this title..... or maybe not
Ok there have been worse players signed but given the timing of it and given how we changed our formation to accomodate him and barely won again he has to be up there. We were top four and O'Neill had the whole world to choose from yet he signed Heskey as the answer to us sustaining a top four push, what a joke of a decision.
That makes some sense, what I would say though is who/what was actually out there...do any of us know, I think not?
It's not our job to know though to be fair, it's MON's and our scouts and the worrying thing is none of them seem to have a bloody clue when it comes to finding players and even more worrying is they all thought Heskey was the answer.
Fair enough, not much more I can say to that, i'm a fan of Heskey but will openly admit he's not done an awful lot for us (i really thought he'd offer a lot more) but there are so many tools on here that just love to slate him for no other reason than him being Emile Heskey....for whatever reason that is I don't know?

We're on the train to Preston at 2.20 so up there just before 4 was thinking of staying in Preston until near 7 but an update on Blackburn pubs is a good call.
PS enjoy a nice sizzling steak in the Yenton!
