  1. I'm sure everyone is doing their best to get him firing (obviously Zaniolo included) as he's been out of the team for a bit.  Others have been out and then come back stronger and I feel this will be the case here - starting tomorrow

  2. The owners need to keep ten Hag, make him make the unpopular decisions, clear the dross, which will mean the team and results will suffer short-term, but will mean after he gets the sack the next bloke starts reasonably fresh.

There's a term for it I'm sure, oh yes - getting f****d over. That's it.

    Manchester United are rudderless.
Even sacking the manager won’t sort out their malaise as the only thing that will help them is a complete change of ownership. If anything the toxicity there is only going to get worse

    "Better" mate.  "Better"

    1st gets CL place

Exactly.  I will have fun laughing at whoever finishes 5th missing out on CL football because of the sh**ness of Man utd.  It could be man utd that miss out due to their own sh*tness, but I think they'll be too sh*t for that.

  5. I'm going to basically support everything the club and it's staff decide to do.  They've earned it 👏

Might make the forum a bit dull, but we can just discuss and agree with how good we are and how many trophies we're going to win instead

Put differently, the underdog mentality is exceptionally motivating. Sitting on the top and looking down is much harder.

Keegan Newcastle is my best example.

Even saw it live on Sunday - early goals against an opponent you see as better than you then it is much harder to manage the mentality than a last minute grab.

We talk about his tactics and style of play and coaching ability, but the way he has changed the psychology at VP may be his most unsung achievement.

Agreed.  How many times have we crumbled when winning, losing or drawing? We just look so composed and assured now whatever is happening on or off the pitch.

    Unbelievable

He will have to slow things down a little. Now we are playing with more control he will have to be more picky with his passes . But he will do. He will be attending the tactics meetings, watching training. He will be learning now about what he will hopefully be doing in 4 months or so. Buendia is totally in with this team. He loves the club. He will come back aged just turned 27 and ready to hit his peak in the coming 3 or 4 years.

I think he'd be better slowing down for a second.  I really hope he can get fit to contribute this year as we'll need him

    Agreed.

Although I do think Unai is the kind of guy who continues evolving and getting better, so he's probably not making as many mistakes now as he did at Arsenal.

He also has better players to work with at villa

heard on tv if man utd and newcastle go out a group stage it damages chances for fith  place qualification

Good, that not only damages them this season but if we finish top 4 - then  Chelsea, man utd, spurs and Newcastle etc miss out next year too. The more disruption to the established elite clubs / state owned sports wash vehicles and their business models the better.

  10. Forget it lads, Garth Crooks has spoken:

"However, talk of winning the title is sheer fantasy. There's more chance of Prince William taking charge of Villa's remaining fixtures than them winning the Premier League"

Disagree, the contact looked accidental/clumsy. Also I don't see Watkins rolling around screaming and holding his face in your scenario.

Watkins was being strangled in their box at one point and he didn't even notice

    Please don't sack him yet

Hopefully, the board know that it's not just down to the manager as the team has a rotten core.  If they sack the manager, that doesn't address the root cause.  There's no addressing the root cause before we play them, and hopefully they'll be more rotten by then too
