Nice idea trying Trent Alexander Arnold in midfield but i'm not sure it worked?
The pundits seemed to think he was great but I thought he gave the ball away a bit too much and didn't really have an impact.
Thought Rice and Foden were very good though.
Throw Bellingham in there too and England have a very strong team, still not sure Southgate has the technical nous to win a tournament though.
Phillips and Maguire should be nowhere near starting for England, it's getting beyond a joke!
Thought Trent was awful personally

Can you imagine having this front 6 and making them so impotent?
Saka. Bellingham. Rice. Grealish
Foden
Kane

Got no problem with him being in the squad. He is a talent. But he is right footed. Plays right back or midfield for Citeh. So for the second game we have had a right footed player at left back who has no experience playing there. Again no problem with that due to the injury crisis at left back but we are pushing it to the left where grealish is isolated.. you have saka and walker on the right. That is where the game should be played. Isolate their right back with 1 2s between Walker and Saka.
Why not just play saka at left back for this game?

Dion really need to stick with selling derelict houses.
I have disagreed with everything he had said so far.
Rico Lewis, a bit of a shit debut really.
TTA, not sure why is he wearing no 10 and playing in midfield. Absolutely doing nothing so far, if it was just to fit him in for the set pieces, there is this man who is a bit of an expert in that, and plays midfield as his profession.
Agreed

You are right, but in fairness I'm not sure I want the fullbacks bombing on with our centre backs.
Unai would conquer the universe with this England squad.
I know, this squad is the best and deepest International squad we've ever had and arguably the world. It's like he watched the highlights of how we play and asked them to pass it around the back a bit then score.

Its because the fullbacks dont give any width. So no one has to track their runs. Grealish had then got 2 on him
Aston villa grealish would still beat them. I bet his progression stats have nose dived since his move.

Lol, no pen. But the pen was a pen from earlier.

What happened to Grealish, man? No penetration at all. Square up to a man, wave your foot over it a bit, then pass it back to Rice. He used to glide through defences.
I didn't realise they'd broken him this badly. I don't think he'll ever be the same great player he was for us. What a waste

Have we actually seen any evidence that’s in the deal?
I thought there was an obligation to buy him back if they go down?

We also had cover at RB with young who we let go, so I'm not sure what business we are planning. Unai deffo looks to have had it with Olsen, so think that's going to happen
-
For those wanting a backup striker - we have one in Duran and Archer will be back in the summer. I think Zaniolo should also deputise up there when Ramsey returns as he's not getting a midfield palace at that point

Excellent today and midweek. Well done Youri , I think you've nailed your starting place down

Legend of a man and of a player. Unplayable today

I love this club

From the upper holte we thought it wasn't a corner and that their goal was offside. Jesus Christ
The amount of chances we're creating per game seems to be slowing down and the diagonal over the top ball was causing us horrendous problems. Plenty to improve on but well done boys for getting 3 points from a tough fixture

Whilst I agree it should be a big fee in that region to sign him, I would be shocked if there isn't a release clause in that contract he signed. That was signed on his terms.
Exactly

Based on very little, I fear he'll be off to arsenal in Jan. The contract he signed just as his old one ran out will have been very much on the players terms

Unlucky boys, can't win them all

I think the only team he'd leave for is Real Madrid. But hopefully not soon! Maybe in 10 years. He's only 51 of takes a leaf out of Roy's book will have another 30 years left in him
He's Basque so Barca surely?

I don't think he will be managing abroad again after his health problems and shitty 2023
Be shocked if he has the same passion in his next job
That's why he's be brilliant. Come in, shout at everyone, buy some expensive crap, get sacked costing them £50 mill, rinse, repeat

I don't think city are as good as last year either. Gundogun and Mahrez really helped win a lot of games last season and de bruyne might take a while to get back to his best.

Ten Hag is toast. Who do we want next? I think Conte would be brilliant

This is a must win game. For spurs. Losing three in a row will be the end of their title aspirations, which lasted longer than anyone expected tbf.
I'm predicting a game won in the midfield, whoever comes out on top gets to dictate where the game is played, and the pace and flow of the game. I'm hoping ours is more settled and will come out on top, I also see our recovery from turnovers to be quicker and better drilled. If they were at full strength, I'd say they edge it at home, with how things are I think we do. UTV
