On his current form he's good enough to play for any team, he's playing as well now as he was at the start of the season in our first season back in the premier league, at that point he was arguably playing better than Grealish, it's less of a question of who he's good enough for and more a question of which other teams' style does he suit. Another question will be whether or not he can keep up this level of performance, also being good enough to play for the very top teams doesn't automatically mean they're going to want to buy him, as there are other players good enough too.
I think grealish needed a bit of mcginn to be as good as he was, on and off the field. Not sure who's looking after him now

Yep, Insta story is up. He should be good.
I'm totally shocked it's not him - he catches everything

How come we can't be told if someone's got covid due to patient confidentiality, but we can know Nakamba has injured his knee, has gone for a scan, it's not good and is off to a specialist on Tuesday?

Traore would be perfect for a narrow style he’s hardly Ryan Giggs hugging the touchline is he
No you're right, I didn't explain very well. I just don't see him starting over a buendia / ramsey type who are going to cover more ground and offer more defensively.

I'm not sure where people have this idea that Gerrard always plays with narrow wingers, or two No.10s, maybe he does sometimes, but Ryan Kent probably Ranger's best attacking player and someone who I presume played pretty much every time he was available, isn't a No.10 or someone who plays tucked inside, he plays as a winger in the same sense that players like El Ghazi, and Trezeguet play as wingers.
Fair dos, never watched them so take your word for it.

It wouldn't surprise me if traore got sounded out for a transfer, trez too. Not because I want them to go, just not sure they'll suit the narrow style. Long term, Bailey isn't a Gerrard player from what I've seen so far..

The improvement in Nakamba itself is worthy of praise, is there a single fan on here that wouldn’t have snapped the arm off any club offering our money back on the guy? (Whatever we paid £8m?) If he can keep up his current form I’m not sure I’d except double that.
I've always thought we collectively played better with him in the team even if individually he wasn't putting in top performances

Mute and then play it:
Should have been goal of the season. A joke of a decision to give a foul

I mentioned in the managers thread that I’d been impressed with how Gerrard is utilising the squad and I think that will continue. Nakamba has arguably been our best player during the managers first 3 games, but isn’t going to be needed against weaker opposition. A fit Sanson adds more depth as well so I think we will continue to see rotation.
There's not that much weak opposition in the prem though. Norwich maybe, but they'll want to beat us and like to keep possession which nakamba can break up. He starts every game for me at the moment and the three pick themselves when available
Nakamba
McGinn Luiz

Ahem. Remember what Marvelous Nakamba was like before Gerrard? Let's see what our new boss can do with these two before we write them off.
Exactly, and also respect his input so far

I'm dumb enough to have paid for the subscription to watch the whole match back.
Luiz and Young were amongst our best players. Luiz always showed for the ball in tight areas, distributed well and pressed effectively.
Young dealt almost immaculately with their RHS. He also carved out two guilt edged chances which we duly shat up the wall.
I have no idea which game you watched.
Cash, while he improved second half. Had a fairly ordinary game if we are going to pick out "worst" players. Harvey Barnes had him on toast.
I think the argument that "x" was our worst player when we've just well beaten Leicester, with all of our players playing either well or brilliantly is weird...

Everton won’t be relegated.
However, they could do with making sure they’re at the circa 35 point mark after 30 games, because…ooooof.
(West Ham, Man Utd and Palace are the three games beforehand the tweet preview doesn’t quite display).
Ouch, they could be in trouble

Quickly becoming one of my favorite players. Great bloke, strong, committed, incredibly able, giant undefeatable buttocks. What more can you ask?

He's started steady and is getting better every game. My view is that there is the potential to keep improving for some time which is quite exciting. There's a really good player in there imo

The basics of the rule are. If he has his hand on the ball and he is about to pick it up to kick it out, or take a goal kick, you cannot come and kick the ball out his hand.
If he has just made a save and not got hold of the ball, which he hadn't, then you can kick it and the goal should have stood.
Huge error by the VAR crew and Oliver to change his mind.
Exactly, the fact that the c**** reviewing this stuff don't know the rules and can't appreciate the game as it is is bewildering. Glad it didn't cost us
-
So, VAR and the ref don't know the rules then? What a f****** joke
Can't pick MOM as I can't vote against Konsa, but nakamba was immense, McGinn was incredible...Buendia played his best game so far, but understand the criticism as he gave the ball away a lot, which seemed to lead to dangerous counters. He takes risks and it will come good imo. Noone below an 8 out of 10 for me - well done boys

Maybe in this case the fence jumped out at him, but it generally baffles me how idiot juvenile self-obsessed footballers driving supercars don't kill more people. There should be 3 a week at least.

The goals they scored, long range from a defender, and a worldie. We controlled the rest one way or another. We'll done boys proud of how far we've come and glad the explayer didn't have any impact on the result, which is now normal for him

I've had it in my head all day we're going to win 4-2.No reasoning behind it as I'm never confident before a game.

It's been said earlier I think but having smaller gaps between the players in the midfield has made a huge difference to his game. He can keep it pretty simple 95% of the time and find an easy outlet

Looking at Zaha turning round and throwing his gloved hand into Cash's face, I'm increasingly convinced that's a straight red.
Not sure why it wasn't talked about more.
I thought it was at the time and then no replays...

He’s important to the side at present and did well again today. However, to be part of the top six eventually, we need better.
I think he's earned the right to grow with this team and the process. Either way I think we play better with a combative midfielder in his position

I think he's now being asked to play a game that suits him. He's less rushed on the ball and is reaping the benefit. Quality player and great bloke
