    Big lump, headless, brainless oaf…

Utterly devoid of grace, intelligence, elegance.

We’ll have to stretch our budget for baby oil too…

Anyone who’s not good enough for Wolves isn’t remotely good enough for us…

    So that’s a no… 🤣

Dang what did he do to you?

Traore won't be fit till mid August so that'll be a late window switch to Turkey and we'll probably get like £5m for him as he's only a year left on his contract.

Bailey won't be going. We don't have depth in wingers. Philogene has zero PL experience or zero top league experience.

Adding Johnson to the squad after Traore, Daivs, Sanson, Wesley, Naka all leave makes sense. I feel that might really limit Archer / Durans chances though.

Need experience to get the job to get experience.

    A deadly cycle.

I guess what this tells us is money trumps all really, and that's what the Saudi's are banking on, no pun intended. Get enough good players in, and then eventually playing against the Saudi "Big 4" could also be as much of a draw as playing against the Sky 6 in England. Especially if they start hosting/organizing intercontinental tournaments.

Honestly who have they signed who could play at the pointy end of the prem?

Kante, almost past it but maybe, Milinkovic-Savic, maybe. Everyone else has said no cause otherwise they’d be there.

Hysteria around this is absurd cause what? Ruben fc** Neves???

  4. Totally get choosing generational Saudi wealth over povo Premier League wealth.

So many examples of well adjusted, happy kids and grandchildren coming from that sort of £££.

Not sure Philogene is quite at the level we've moved to - personally I'd sell him. I think Iroegbunam might be the same, although he might be handy to keep around as a homegrown player if he's happy to get limited minutes.

Sinisalo is off on loan, and KKH has already gone on what's probably a make or break one for him. Bogarde would need a good loan to show us something. We've got some good youngsters, but I don't see anyone bursting through in the way that Jacob Ramsey did/has.

Why do you think Tim is maybe the same?

I watched a bit of QPR last year, he generally looked a class above.

Yes. But the Saudi agenda is to sports wash and gloss over their horrendous human rights record. You can be mad about both but be clear that Saudi operation is petro-fuelled PR and using football as a vehicle to change how people view the regime there.

Gonna be some mad Lebron James China backflip moments.

“Despite my previous tweets, I do not actually know what a ‘Yemen’ is and I am now unconvinced of its existence.”

He did a u turn it seems.

Maybe he was just playing hard to get.

Or thought he would get a better offer, which never came. Lol

The negotiating equivalent of play out from the back, get pressured on the ball, have no outlets so just kick it long.

  9. It looks like Emery might be trying to do a reverse sided version of what Man City played in the latter stages of this season. Keep in mind, they had 4 CBs start in the Champions league final: https://www.coachesvoice.com/cv/manchester-city-inter-milan-champions-league-final-tactics/#:~:text=For Manchester City's second Champions,to right-back when defending.

Moreno is playing a more bomb forward version of the John Stones role, Mings playing the Akanji role, Torres playing the Dias role and Konsa/Carlos playing the Ake role.

This would also give us a bit more height on set pieces considering we conceded the second most goals from set pieces last season. Would also explain why decision on Young was made so quickly.

  10. Easy lads, kids 19 with 4 goal contributions in a side that’s fighting relegation and has only scored 25 goals.

Hasn’t lit the world on fire but also coming off a decent spell in EFL 2.

I’d be happy getting rid of Nakamba and Chambers and signing absolutely nobody until the summer.

We need to get the squad down to a core 13/14 and then in the Summer we can go after 3 or 4 high quality players. Given we’ve got the wages of a few off the books and reduced the squad size, we’ll have some serious room to play with.

No point in rushing players through the door now. The only player we’ve been linked to that I think would genuinely improve us is Guendouzi. I’d be ecstatic if we signed him but not bothered one jot about the rest.

Clearing the dead wood is a priority for me. Digne and Coutinho can go in the Summer too.

Mate, only took the better part of 2 years but we’re finally on the same page

I think it's interesting that Thuram hasn't made a move yet and not really getting linked anywhere that i've seen. Maybe Thuram and Guendouzi double on Wednesday. :D

Yeah wishful thinking but one can dream, right?

EDIT: Seems he is getting linked, not to us tho😂

Will get more money in bonuses and wages if he holds out to the summer.

Similar to what Kamara did before we signed him.
