It's an official public statement from the club - they could have shown a little bit of sensitivity, even if the roots of the club are in the protestant church.

Long time listener, first time caller.

From Australia, discovered Aston Villa because Gabby was my favourite player on FIFA 2008. Loosely followed Villa from then on until I made some friends who were very passionate Villa fans in Mexico in 2014. This more or less sealed my fate as a Villa supporter, although, due to inability to stream games in Australia I did not follow them all that closely. This changed during the 18/19 season when I discovered a streaming service that broadcast Championship games, and subsequent a service which streamed PL games for the season just gone. The last 2 seasons have contained some of the best sporting moments I have ever seen as a supporter of a team and can’t wait for the season coming up.
