No he was the guy who shared some information that he’d heard. I doubt he’ll bother again when the response of some posters is so poor.
Weren’t you the guy who never said anything interesting?
That’s sweet.
I also didn’t realise how closely you followed my posts, that’s flattering, really.
It’s better to be uninteresting and grounded in facts than saying players are signed sealed and delivered when they’re not, isn’t it?

3 goals and 5 assists is pretty average when compared to soucek (10 goals), lingard (9 goals), Harrison (8 goals and 8 assists), prowse (8 goals and 7 assists), gross (8 assists).
there’s a lot to like about McGinn and he played a key role for us in getting promoted. I’m more than happy to have him in the squad but just saying that he needs to show a lot of development in the next 12 months or will be overtaken by others quite quickly.
Lingard and Harrison player different positions, but sure.

Yeah. Shame he doesn't really contribute elsewhere though outside of his scoring and his dribbling. His pressing stats are subpar despite how much everyone loves to bang on about his pressing as are all his other defensive stats not even taking into account how many times he let's his man just run past off ball which results in a goal.
What a crock of s***.
Same game time he has the same number of tackles and a lower % of successful pressures but basically the same overall because he attempts so many as Tielemans.

He's complete trash compared to Traore El Ghazi. Was it 12 games in Championship for Bournemouth for no goals or assists before move to Everton and they didn't use him. I've been saying he's trash for 3 seasons so maybe I'm not best to ask

This was exactly why I said a 1 year contract may make sense. If Wesley is somewhere between the two extremes, and they want another year to take a view on him without risking going in to the season relying on him as backup, we are short of options.
Say Watkins gets injured. You throw Wesley in and it transpires he's not getting it back. You know Keinan can't score. And you don't want to rely on a youngster who has no experience. A King (or equivalent) on a short contract makes a lot of sense... but only if they don't cost 10s of millions to sign.
This was before I was shown King's injury record and the fact he's been a bit rubbish for 2 years. So, can't see it happening. Someone else in that vein though would be logical on a short contract
Wait so if we sign King, Watkins goes down, and Wesley isn’t up to it, then we’ll have 3 strikers who can’t score instead of two!!

Pessimist in me, if Ollie gets injured or form dips...we have a player I really like in Wes but we have no idea if he can come back, how effective he will be and Davis is out of favour and Barry will just likely gets slight look ins next season.
We don’t but the coaching and medical staff should have some idea.
That will most likely dictate what we sign in terms of a striking option.
Should also ease your optimist/pessimist internal mental turmoil

Why not, he'd be an excellent sub to bring on.
Sure Traore is better than Ghazi but to have both of them as sub Wingers next season is an already much improved bench. We don't know what Smith is thinking yet. I do agree that Traore at times looks great but he had many games where he were flat. Yeah it were his first season and I'm not saying get rid, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to have Buendia take a no 10 role and bring Pereira in to start on the right Wing all while Traore must fight for his place.
We was always going to come around to this where upgrades make this kind of situation happen. Just because someone had a decent first season doesn't mean you stop looking for better does it? If you see someone who can be of service like Pereira would on the right, if the money is there then you grab him.
To be honest in terms of keeper and defence, we do not need anyone. We need a new CDM for deffo. Are we even going to go for a striker given Wesley is back and Watkins is the man o steel. The way I see it is we buy a CDM, buy a Midfielder to play behind the no 10 and even then Pereira would be fantastic for that if he were to support either Grealish or Buendia if they play 10. Then a Right Winger.
See for me i had four total signings in mind a RW, CDM, Midfielder and CAM. With Buendia he could either be that CAM or RW and there's still another 3 signings I hope join us.
Whyyyyyyyyyyyy.
Pereira and Traore had the same amount of goals and assists in the PL if you take out Pereira’s 4 penalties. Pereira also had an extra 250 minutes game time.
Did you even watch any West Bron games? Pereira does not offer anything more than what Traore does defensively and he also has a tendency to go missing for long periods.

You severely underrate Traore - what he’s been able to do in his first season in a mid-table side has been very good.
Even if you look past ASM’s relative lack of score involvements, he is unable to hold up play and is dispossessed far too often. If people’s main criticism of Traore is his defensive commitment, ASM is more or less the same.
He’s also only mustered 3450 odd minutes in 2 seasons in the Premier League.
Why would we sign someone who’s only shown they can play about half the season and is not an improvement on what we already have?

There’s a certain Ben Godfrey who doesn’t seem to cop a mention considering he almost passed the ball straight past Pickford into the back of the net and he dicked around with the ball against Villa and got sharked by Ollie.
Stones is decent but is always one touch away from a brain fart himself.
And the amount of times I see Maguire **** up and be saved by a teammate, the opponent not being quite clinical enough, or the referee is off the the ******* charts.
Konsa will get there but Mings is still the better overall player for now. When Konsa’s form dropped in the final 3rd of the season Mings was superbly consistent.
If people are going to criticise for a penalty kick that COULD have been paid - we may have to re-think this whole Buendia thing as he’s good for 1-2 red cards per season.

At some point I'm guessing that if we are serious about pushing top 4 and for European trophies whereas you can see a case for Konsa, then its less so for mings. That said, his mistakes do get amplified and while he does have them in him so does Stones, Maguire et al. He has been brilliant for us all season and deserves his recognition.
For real? What would you call playing for England if not a good case?

I think this is potentially our leverage, he would most likely come straight into a starting spot here at 10
I would hope so - so many players seem to ignore this element though and end up being a Batshuayi, Tuanzebe, Van De Beek, Minamino, Origi, Telles, or an Ake.
Like where was Van De Beek, Minamino, Telles and Ake in particular expecting to fit into the respective lineups?

I would want Buendia for CAM
Traore Buendia Grealish
Watkins
That would be absolute nightmare for teams to defend against
My only beef with that setup is a I desperately want Kamada as well and don’t know where he’d fit...
would be gorgeous to watch next year though.

Only 11 players got 11 or more assists in PL last season and mostly big name players. Don't think he scored many goals as had different role in PL compared to more attacking last season in Championship
I think the frustrating thing is a lot of the people on here who want Buendia also want to get rid of Traore. Traore played 2338 minutes this season - if you applied the same metric he’d have a 10G and 10A season - which is incredible.
Also think Buendia plays CAM, personally.

Bundesliga is few elite teams then lower half PL/Championship quality
Understood, my point is more what is a key pass? Buendia had 2.3 pg for 7 assists - Kamada has 1.8 pg for 15 assists.
There’s a few ways you could look at it - Buendia’s teammates severely let him down, or, the passes didn’t give his teammates the best chance to score. I don’t know which it is - more these 2nd degree statistics are open to interpretation.
Also, regarding only playing 2/3’s of the season, if you extrapolate out its 1.5G and 10.2A, which is very good.
