No I clearly stated that I also thought we improved as per in the previous post
Official retraction, didn't see that part!
Still don't think there was a drop in intensity as the goals and targets (i.e staying up and the millions that come with it and europe and the millions that come with it) were still the same for every team.

I don't.
You just had too look at the games to see they were played at a much lower tempo and intensity. Part of this was down to no fans and that will be the same this season but a lot was IMO down to opponents not as bothered.
Because Arsenal, Sheff Utd, Man Utd, Chelsea and Wolves were just "not as bothered" about European places when they played us...
Pull the other one mate, you're shitting on the teams improvements post lockdown. We we're clearly better at the back.

Things I want from this transfer widow
Jack singing a new contract - the biggest thing that could happen this window
new singing that improve the team and allows us to play the football we want. Fast and and attacking.
so, pacy players on the wings and a striker that convert his chances - for me, Rashica, Watson and Edouard but I think it will be players we haven't even seemingly been linked to that come through the door
faster and more robust full backs - starting to get too much to wish for
a solid number 8 in the middle of the park. As good defensively and offensively - John McGinn is this player mate?
hogan, Lansbury, jota, kalinic, Davis, samatta find new homes - agree with all except Davis, think he has something to offer
and a signing today - would be amazing!
See bold

I still can’t believe it. I think Jack needs to bukkake on Southgates nose to get in the squad.

Southgate dropped Sterling over his scuffle with Joe Gomez but backed Maguire despite him being guilty as ****. It raises very serious questions about his racial blind spots and moral judgment. He’s compromised ethically as manager.
Updated this for you. And I agree entirely.

I can't get over Harry Winks getting called up. He brings absolutely nothing to the table. You telling me he's a better pick than Jack right now in midfield? No way in hell.
In the English Premier League season 2019/20, Harry Winks played 26 matches (plus 5 as a sub).He had 2 shots on target from a total of 10 shots and scored 0 goals (0.50 xG).Harry Winks averaged 55 passes per match with a pass completion rate of 90%, and had 1 assist.Team: Tottenham Hotspur F.CPosition: PlaymakerNationality: EnglandThey're some stats for an England international to be picked on "form"....- 2

Errr, based on we haven’t signed anyone yet and we are only one of six clubs not to have signed a first team player having escaped relegation by the skin of our teeth.
If you look in the same interview that DS says he delayed his holiday for a week to explicitly tell Lange the player criteria he wants he also mentions Luiz and how it took the lockdown period for Luiz to truly get match fit......and how he doesn’t want to repeat that this time round.
Now if you want to disagree with my point, it might help to say something valuable......like negotiating £25m-£30m transfers takes longer or something rather than simply having a pop at me.
Alright mate we know you like making your point but you don't have to post it 3 times

There is no conspiracy, Southgate doesn't know where/if Grealish can fit into his team.
Mings is also getting caps so it isn't anti-Villa.
Yeah its clearly not an anti-villa thing. My hang up is that Southgate knows Jack wants to play in the middle for England, but isn't brave enough to pick him there even though he's clearly a level above the likes of Ward-Prowse and Mount etc. As many have said before, England are very 'samey' and have no creativity through the middle which is exactly why people have been clamouring for a middle pairing of Grealish and Foden for a while now. Sit a DCM in behind those two and jobs a goodun.
Southgate on the other hand wants to select 5 DCM's......

What is Southgate’s England philosophy? To be unsuccessful?
Apparently it's to follow the mantra of being a hypocritical FA-pocketed sword swallower.

Even if It can or can't happen (I don't know) he's never going to re declare for Ireland now, it would be a terrible look for him no matter how many times Southgate takes the piss.
I do agree though that he would've been better staying put with Ireland though instead of this absolute farce of an England setup. He'd have god knows how many caps for them by now and be the main man. Shame really.
To be fair to Jack, he backed himself and would have hardly known that he would have had to face up to the biggest sack of piss that has ever managed a national football side in not being selected for so long...

I did say I'd read an article a while ago not that I'd read one since Rice got called up.
There's clearly a reason Southgate isn't picking Grealish and it's one that he's not willing to make public, he's a shit bloke, he could easily have him in the squad and not select him so he's making a statement by not picking him. I imagine Grealish, Villa and other England players know what that statement is.
Fixed this one for you fella

His stats could be on par with Winks and have 0 goals or assists or even sit on the bench most of the season

To be fair i've just seen the squad, and if i'm honest, it's hard for me to see who could realistically be dropped from the Forwards or midfielders for Jack.
Aside from maybe Foden?
I don't know enough about Ward - Prowse or Rice to pass judgement.
Southgate in the past has acknowledged that Jack could be picked as both a winger and an AMF.
Now, fair enough as a winger he's going up against Sterling, Hudson-Odoi, Sancho etc. so you could make an argument as to how he hasn't been picked (especially given the preferred system that Southgate employs being two quick wingers and one upfront).
However, to say that he wouldn't be getting ahead of James Ward-Prowse, Mason Mount and fking HARRY I'VE DONE EXACTLY NOTHING THIS SEASON WINKS is totally comical. The guys a clown and I hope he gets himself sacked before the Euro's...

I find it incredible the thread has gone into a meltdown because Grealish hasn't been picked for a meaningless England friendly.
I would agree with the who negativity had this been the Euro2021 squad that had just been announced!
Because if you listen to Southgates interview at the squad announcement he clearly states that now is the time for the new players to be bedding in for Euro 2021.
There are very few chances between then and now for Grealish to "impress" enough to be on that plane.
Just rubbing it in his face, especially with the hypocritical shit hes come out with over the last 18 months surrounding Jack.
