Excuse my lack of research on this thread, but aren't we in for Eze? If not, why not? I see Palace have had a bid rejected and that QPR are holding out for 16m. Surely that puts him in our sphere of attainables?

If that figure is true (and I'm in no way convinced that it is as its tabloid speculation that its coming from) then its preposterously cheap for a player of his talent and we should snap their hands off.

Be gutted if Weston McKennie ends up at Southampton as he is exactly what we need IMO he has the quality to be a superstar and similar type of player to Essien. My wish list is as follows:

    Aaron Hickey

    Kristoffer Ajer

    Weston McKennie

    Karlol Linnety

    Dwight McNeil

    Emiliano Buendia

    Patrick Schick ???

Best wishlist I've seen so far, if we got anyone on that list i'd be delighted

Pretty much every signing last summer (except the expected mings and el ghazi) came out of the blue. No clues, press briefings or rumours before.

Trezeguet was touted as on the cards for about 10 days before we signed him, but yeah the principle is right. We have no ITK's anymore and I actually prefer having a system where our board/management are busy in the background and we only get to hear about it once its something real.

Cursed it now, incoming Glenn Murray announcement.... 😂

Abraham is not worth 40mill pounds crazy money as usually English players over inflated.

Sorry mate, but if Iwobi is £34m and Joelinton is £40m, then Tammy Abraham is worth at least this with the season he's had (+ inflation for the fact that he's English ofc :D)

I've never really watched him play but is he REALLY this good?

I might have to head to Youtube, I see he has been mentioned loads but he must be some players to be "twice the player Benrahma is".

The Norwich lot rate him hugely, read their comments on him on their forums.

Although he's had a great season in the Championship I just can't get my head around Benrahma being as good as people on here make out. I also think he'd be found out for pace in the PL and is a little tricky without a huge amount of end product. Buendia looked head and shoulders the best player and had some great games in a very very poor Norwich team.

Just my opinion though, I know a lot of people hugely rate Benrahma on here and its not to say he isn't a good player.

    I reckon we need:

1 top class striker - Dream signing: Abraham (40m)

    1 LW - Dream signing: Benrahma (30m)

    1 RW - Dream signing: Sarr (30m)

1 player to play where Hourihane has been playing in the midfield lately - Dream signing: Buendia or Eze (25m)

1 experienced CB - this one can be cheap/free.

That's at least another 125m spent again. We might be able to save money on the striker and get a backup fullback too.

If we're in relegation trouble with this team next season we might as well pack it up and be a Championship club for the rest of time.

                           Abraham

      Benrahma                           Sarr

                 Grealish        McGinn

                               Luiz

    Targett   Mings   Konsa/New CB    Guilbert

                            Heaton

Subs: Steer, Elmo, Konsa/New CB, Buendia, Wesley, El Ghazi, Nakamba, Hourihane, Taylor/new FB

Partially agree and would love to see this ambition from the board; but two things from me:

Firstly, there is just no way Abraham is leaving Chelsea in my opinion unless it's to a CL team.

Secondly, Grealish plays left in the front three in your team and Buendia starts instead of Benrahma, hes twice the player Benrahma is...

But god if anything close to the above happened it would be dreamland mate :D

A 29 year old with over 200 prem league appearances and over 40 caps for his nation. For £5m. Would make alot of sense to me. Every signing we make won't be a world beater. This squad needs alot of work still. Would be a very sensible signing for that price.

If all the stats were of a 29 yo Brazilian playing over 200 games in la Liga, named mccarthdinho, there would be alot more excitement on here.

Lets be sensible here... we all know a Brazilian holding player would have a classy singular name like "Bruno" or......."Kevin".

Agreed, but they’re not alone, all the papers do it, some are worse than others. Our “very own” Brum Mail I would put at the top of the list of click bait headliners. I try to never click on their rubbish.

I don't get what happened there, did the BM get bought out and just suddenly become like this because they used to be pretty informative and decent. Now I wouldn't wipe my arse with that tripe...

McKennie is very good and would be well suited to the PL. Very energetic, combative and will run through brick walls for the team. Looked like the only player who cared for Schalke towards then end of the season. Sargent, I'm not sure about. Don't think he'll make it at top level.

Seen a few Schalke games in the last year with him being the absolute standout player and as you say would definitely suit the Prem. Personally would be going all out for him as he fits the profile with his combative nature and age...

I’d rather we get the transfer targets right rather than quickly. If we’re in the bottom 3 in April 21 it won’t be much consolation that we got our targets done in the first two weeks of the summer window.

    So much this

  11. Hi Everyone, my names Ollie and I'm an a...................ston villa fan.

Been an avid follower of this forum for around 10 years now since the late MON days... I live in Devon and have been a villa supporter since i can remember (the entire family is). First game at Villa Park was Man Utd. 2004 when Giggs scored right in front of at the Holte end. Try to get up for as many games as I possibly can each season. Best moment at VP has to be getting knocked down about 5 rows of seats celebrating when Gary Cahill scored "that" overhead kick against Birmingham. Messy night followed....

Looking foward to sharing some views on here. Cheers.
