Because one is a good player and the other one is awful!

I guess it’s all about opinions but i will be amazed if we don’t sell Dendonker. Yes he comes in and does a job now and then but surely that’s the bare minimum a Premier League player should do. Such an awkward immobile player.

Dendo is a perfect starter pack premier league player and we should be able to cash that it and upgrade.

What would be the most ideal scenario for us with the Pool v Spurs match? Assuming we beat Fulham, do we then want Spurs to win to keep Pool 4 points behind, giving us more breathing room?

At this stage we want one of the challengers to be killed. I’d think another 6-1 Tottenham loss.

He's still so underrated in England. He seems to be regarded as nothing more than decent when in reality he's probably closer to one of the top 5 managers in the world.

A couple Champions League with Villa will change that. It’ll come.

Least exciting Villa match I ever went to was during the Lambert reign when we played a friendly approximately seven thousand miles outside downtown Chicago. I was in America that week so went up to Chicago for it, thinking it would be exotic. I remember the stadium car park had a Shell petrol station and that was about it. At least Witton has a decent Tesco.

Haha - I was also at that game. Chicago Fire just suck ass. That’s the only game I’ve seen them play. They are playing games at the NFL stadium now so the experience is substantially better - even if the product isn’t!

I'm not so sure, he's had a taste with the big boys (PSG and Arsenal) and they both ended badly.  He has excelled at smaller clubs (Sevilla and Villareal), we fall under that category.  I think he'll stay here until he feels he's achieved all he can.

He’s at a sleeping giant now, with a history of smaller club mentality. However we have the resources and the fan base to go a long way (which he didn’t have to anywhere the same degree in Spain).

I think he’s signed on to the idea of full control and full backing and building up. Being parachuted into a pool of extreme talent (Potter) often doesn’t work well.

I genuinely think that in 30 years time the Holte will still be singing about what Unai did for the club. Wow. I’ve been envious of other fans and clubs over the years. I’ve never been this fired up to be a Villa fan. What a time to be alive!! I feel like I just loaded a new Football Manager save as Villa manager and downloaded the best tactics and training schedules…

    I KNOW I AM, I’M SURE I AM, I’M UNAI TIL I DIE!

  7. I’m genuinely astounded at how quickly the project is working. I had pencilled in 18 months for us to really see the difference.

A manager we can all get behind along with an attacking and enjoyable style of football. Couldn’t ask for much more!

We are safe already.  No way that five of West Ham, Everton, Forest, Leeds, Bournemouth, Everton and Southampton are getting to 35 points this season.  They are all averaging less than 1 point per game and if anything getting worse.

Oh yeah. But that 40 points number really makes you feel secure.

  9. So 2-2 with two utterly dumb moments of insanity. Basically gifted them. Albeit the 4th we were basically all out attack.

Wonderful attacking performance just without the finishes. Buendia couldn’t buy one to go in today despite being ridiculously good the entire game.

This one goes down to bad luck for me.

The panic is ridiculous. All of a sudden we're gonna have mass injuries and everyone is going to start playing badly.

I really hope these same people don't start moaning when we didn't qualify for Europe in Emery's first season.

Long term plan. Let's have a little faith in it.

We still have a strong squad with options.

Dhuran may also contribute more than some believe right now.

This. We’re 11th for a start and not 5th. We’re very likely to happily settle into a solid mid table spot and spend the rest of the season planning for the summer and getting the existing squad up to speed with Emery’s approach.

People don’t understand delayed spending and gratification. We care about what Villa do over the next 10 years, not for the rest of this season. It’s so short sided and gives the club and Emery zero credit.

You sell when others are paying premium prices, and you buy when you can get a deal. It’s basic finance.

Whilst our rivals in the league are blowing their money on overpriced players (Gakpo, Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Mudryk, Georginio Rutter etc)
Villa are just chilling and making sensible moves like Moreno and Duran.

No need to panic. Good work.

Mods are going kick you out if you keep speaking logically like a reasonable man of reason…
