I’d be disappointed in so much as the club may have missed out on a target they wanted but I’ll probably have forgotten about the fact we were even linked by the end of the transfer window (as long as it doesn’t turn into a massive drawn out saga). He’s not a player I know really well and it sounds like he’s likely to go/stay abroad so he’s not going to score against us any time soon.

But it's all media BS so we will probably really never know if we had serious interest.

The point is if he performs on the pitch and in training he won't be on the bench, regardless of who we sign. Competition is healthy and we'll have a lot of games next season.

Thanks for stating the obvious but the point is Cash seems to have fallen out of favour and we are apparantely looking for new starting RB.

Just think this has been judged on a spreadsheet rather than sentiment. You could argue that's how you run a business, but football has many emotional/non-quantifiable elements and that includes things such as experience/dressing room presence/player-fan relationship (all of which he sits at the top).

Considering he has done a more-than-competent job this season, I don't agree with this unless he was demanding excessive wages.

Considering one of the greatest footballers ever is now lapping up oil money in some far away land in some irrelevent football league, it's probably fair to say Ashley will resurface in either the US, Saudi etc. etc. and fair play to him. What the PL isn't willing to pay someone else will.

Who plays at RB if this new signing gets injured like most of our new signings do? Cash isn't going anywhere. If he's good enough to start World cup knock out matches he's good enough to start for us in the europa.

He won't hang around to be on the bench he'll want to keep his place in the Poland team above all else.

  6. With Young moving on it strongly hints we will be in for a new RB, can't see Cash wanting to play second fiddle to someone as he'll want to get back into the Poland team. So maybe we will see a major and minor signing in this area.

I was quite surprised he featured so much in the matchday squad since he came here. Whether that was planned for or the fact we had no back up after selling Ings is open to interpretation. He has potential but I am more in the loan camp myself next year. We have to bring in an experienced forward/striker if we want to go deep in the cups.

If liverpool are considering loaning out a talent like Carvalho I see no reason we wouldn't do the same for Durán he's hardly dazzled us with the limited minutes he has had, obviously has potential or the club wouldn't have paid what they did for him.

People can have different views on a player’s ability or potential, but to suggest we will loan an ~£18m signing who is already playing (and has scored) for the Colombia national team to LEAGUE ONE is absolutely wild to me.

Fair enough, he wasn't an Emery signing so we'll have to wait and see my gut feeling is he'll go out on loan.

Thought we'd see a lot of the on loan older players- Nakamba / Sanson / Davis etc go, but with needing almost 2 teams next season, could be reason to keep them, at least until we sign replacements. You only have to look at the bench yesterday to see how short we are in attacking options.

I don't think we will be holding on to them, Sanson was let go on loan as he wanted regular first team football fair play to him. I'd be surprised if Marv and Davis were to be in Unai's plans.

I'm sure the commentators mentioned him as a possibility for Brighton, which was random.

Hasn't that been on the cards for a while? I thought they'd maybe even already done a deal just not officially announced.

Conference League will be perfect for Duran!

Disagree this guy needs to be playing football, a loan to a top half league one or bottom half Championship side is needed. Somewhwere cold and miserable is preferable.

  12. Just to add his reported wage for that new contract put him on 75k a week, that contract might need to be revisted next season with how important he has become to us.

He just signed a new contract in the summer.

    Well winter was it?

    Last October.

So Autumn you were miles off!

He's 25, scores goals, good at set-pieces and regularly bosses games at the very top level. We can easily demand £80m+ for him in today's market.

Wouldn't want to sell whatever the price type of player you can build a team around. He'll be a regular for the Brazil team soon enough.

We pulled Man City's pant's down with Gresford, but DL is a whole new level of pant pulling down! 15 mil was it 😂
