The set piece routine after 15 minutes when Cash played it short to Targett, changing the angle for him to play it to Konsa at the back post who nodded it down to Mings who controlled it for Ings was so good to watch. I think it's a work of art to come up with clever set piece routines like that. He's had such an obvious immediate impact.

My MOTM tonight. Absolutely worked his socks off for the team. I love his attitude. He's such a team player. Felt bad for him that he never really had a chance himself. When was the last time we had two strikers the same quality as these two?

Getting better every game. Looks totally at home at this level.

Absolutely no chance.
He let it across his body because sometimes he's too casual. Then he shat himself and gave a crap backpass. All on Tyrone that one sadly.
Could be inventing this, but I swear he makes these gaffs more when he's captain. Don't know if it puts him off or something.
You can see them coming as well which is annoying. He's a very strange mix of fairly elegant, but technically poor on the ball. Can't think of many times I've seen that combination.
Getting rinsed on the second was so so poor. Honestly annoyed me more. Just a mess. Made a couple of bad decisions in quick succession and just got stuck going too quickly in a kamikaze challenge. Shame, we played well today and didn't deserve to lose 3-0.
Not really much we can do because he's one of our best two CBs and captain. He just, again, needs to do his best to concentrate better.
You think the pass from Tuanzebe to Mings was good then? Have another look. It was completely unnecessary. Mings' wasn't good either but neither was Tuanzebe. It put him completely on the wrong foot.

Agree it wasn't ideal, but Mings' still had more than enough time to make the pass. He just did his typical thing of being too casual. It's like in his brain he assumes the ball will go where he wants it to, without concentrating enough to make sure it does.
Yeah, I'm not excusing Mings. He should have played it better but the pass to him really didn't help. Tuanzebe just needed to play it down the line towards the corner flag, away from danger. Mings would just have played it down the line then. No need for him to play it inside.

We lost 3-0 having made defensive errors again and failed to score despite a large number of attempts. Please, I’m struggling to see why that is great and worth celebrating?
We played well and created lots of chances against a top defensive team, proving we don't need Greasy to create chances. We also did so playing a totally new formation and still not being at full strength with several key places either missing or not being fit.
It was not a 3-0 game at all. Not even close. We could have scored 4 in the first half alone. Our pressing was superb and shows real promise. We'll cause lesser teams a lot of problems playing like that.
Not sure how you can't see that.

Teams are capable of looking great for certain periods of matches. However we still made mistakes which lead to conceding, and we failed to score despite all the attempts. Wins are going to be very few and far between this season.
If Chelsea has put away two more of their attempts on target, making it a 5-0 score line, would people have been happy? I don’t think so.I mean there's focusing on the negatives and then there's focusing on negatives that didn't even happen. Staggering.

Please nobody say “play like that every game we’ll win more than we lose” …we lost 3-0. We’re awful.
Play like that and we'll win more than we lose. We were great.

Agree and Steer's lack of awareness there too, alas, 3 mistakes in a second or 2 will get punished by the likes of Chelsea.
Yes, I think Martinez would have been quicker off his line.

The pass from Tuanzebe to Mings was probably worse than Mings' to Steer but it won't get picked up on.

Please mods, can we add a worse option for the referees. Very Poor doesn't ever do it justice.

Something needs to be done about the standard of refereeing in this country. Absolutely tragic every week. Embarrassing tonight. I literally have no words to describe how bad he's been.
We on the other hand have been great. So unlucky tonight.

This. I won't be happy until we are put on the brink of financial disaster following a transfer window.
Yes. I also really miss the days when our owner was tweeting cryptic clues about our transfer activity.

There are loads of good DCM’s available at the moment
Define "good DCM". It's purely down to opinion. Maybe the true targets we wanted weren't available right now. Maybe clubs were holding us to ransom. Maybe we didn't want to spend a fortune all in one go and weaken our FFP position next year.

I'm incredibly grateful to them doesn't change the facts of our weakness' this season
What if the right target we wanted just wasn't available and they felt there was no point spending for the sake of it?
Why let teams hold us to ransom because they know full well we have £100m in the bank?
Sensible clubs don't make signings for the sake of it and don't spend unsustainably. I absolutely believe the reason they didn't sign one was because the right value for money didn't come up.
I'd have liked a midfielder too but I don't think it's as big an issue as people are making out.
The absolute main weakness from last season was creating chances without Grealish in the team. I think we've addressed that issue.

Disagree but ok buddy. You crack on with your nonsense
But @dont_do_it_doug.was absolutely right. Our biggest problem last season by an absolute country mile was creating chances when Grealish wasn't in the team. Not sure how you can say that's nonsense but I'm sure you'll come up with something.

Better than Tuanzebe by an absolute country mile. Should be starting every week, for me.
