Dendoncker isn't a great player but he is the kind of player we need in the middle. I actually think he'd do a decent job for us.

Moura is a big no. He's the definition of a highlights player. Looks flashy from the outside and has a sexy name but doesn't actually do much. He's also the wrong side of 30 and would be on huge wages. Don't see the point in going for him at all.

I'm normally a very positive Villa fan, but something is badly wrong at the minute. This summer window has been a shambles. Something is rotten at the club and I'm not sure what.

This would take some getting used to but it is very creative and unique. I think this or something like it could work. It is kind of modern and traditional, all in one. Still not sure about the yellow/gold lion though. What would it look like with a claret lion instead? (Obviously you'd have to change the claret background too).

Just as long as the lion is no longer yellow, it will be an improvement on the hideous thing we have now.

I would personally go round badge, claret outer circle, blue middle and claret lion.

I don't think it was necessarily down to his poor positioning. It was more the game was getting stretched and players were tiring towards the end of the 90 / extra time and he was pretty much still everywhere.

Never seen him before the final and he was very good. He seemed to continually make up the ground on a player in on goal and make a last ditch tackle from nowhere.

Disappointed with the speed of this signing to be fair. Would have preferred a 2000 page thread with fish puns dragged out over the entire summer instead. NSWE out.

Boubacar Kamara or Ibrahim Sangare.

Either or these is exactly what we need.

Said it when we played them at home, Leeds are the worst team in the league.

Looking forward to seeing the design for the new North Stand. I just hope they don't fill in the corners. Villa Park should always be 4 different stands.

When he's on the pitch, we're playing with 10 men. Shouldn't play another game this season now.

On the other hand, you are advocating Nakamba as the answer - who is definitely not a better player than Luiz. Luiz will go higher than Villa, Nakamba won't go higher. Nakamba is fine if you want to absorb sure, but Luiz is better if you want to play football. He is out-of-form but there is also a reason why he has been our number 1 DM for 2.5 seasons now, and has been called up by Brazil, bought by Man City, and rumoured to be monitored by Arsenal and City again.

You have absolutely no idea what kind of fan I am. I'm probably one of the most positive, realistic and patient fans on here and it takes A LOT for me to moan at any Villa player. Feel free to read through my posting history. My patience has run out with Luiz though.

Luiz might technically be a better footballer on the ball than Nakamba, but give me Nakamba protecting the back 4 over Luiz 8 days a week. Luiz offers zero protection. Absolutely none. He's not a defensive midfielder at all. And to honest, I don't really see him offering much going forward either. I'd snap someone's hands off if they offered £30m.

No, that's Nakamba. Luiz just goes completely missing or does stupid, pathetic shirt pull type fouls. Whenever he gets the ball all he can do is 5 yard passed backwards and slowly. Really hope he gets sold in the summer as he is holding us back right now.

I'm now at the point where I'm convinced we won't improve as a team until 2 of our first team players are replaced. Watkins is one of them. He offers absolutely nothing. Would rather have Davis or Archer playing.

I may be in the minority here, but I just don't rate him that highly. I want to rate him but I've had my doubts since we bought him and probably have more doubts about now than ever. If we do get a good offer for him then I absolutely believe our recruitment team could get someone better in.
