I really enjoyed reading the comment from Kompany regarding Emery and the job he's done with us. I think he was spot - on.
Vincent Kompany, like Troy Deeney and one or two others I could mention, are one of very few ex-pro's / managers who are genuinely worth listening to.

Just think it would be better giving a bench spot to someone who might actually get on if only for five minutes when we are 12-0 up
Of course; we all think this. It's just that when anyone who comments on this situation puts their CV next to King Unai's CV, there's a pretty steep drop-off in on-field football success. So there's really no need to even mention it anymore.

If we're gonna compete at the very top, season after season, then we need a stadium to match those ambitions and Villa Park will need to be completely rebuilt to match those ambitions.
I don't quite get this argument. Take Stamford Bridge for example - a stadium with LESS capacity than VP - and ask how this stadium has negativity affected Chelsea's hoovering up all the available trophies over the last couple of decades competing at the very top?
Isn't the current debate more an obsession with the fans rather than a genuine hindrance or any indication of owner ambition?

The only reasonable excuse for a delay in rebuilding the North Stand is the final placement of the King Unai statue!

Why if we go joint top on Saturday, what would be the basis for it? We also likely won't be anywhere near as weakened team wise as we have been in the last week or so.
I was referring to the negativity on a football forum. It's sort of like wondering why there's so much negativity on Twitter. It'll never be any different.

Can’t believe some were quick to write off our title challenge after a loss to Manchester United
You can though, surely?

Like everyone else - I detest and fear this fixture. Nothing but heartbreak and crushing disappointment over and over. All the positive noise on / in the media only makes it worse.

Glad I was out last night and knew nothing of this result until I got back. Prolly been mentioned but the handball is similar to the last minute Arsenal Cash non-penalty. Seen them given, seem them not given. The Bailey goal being ruled out was like some of the VAR decisions we got used to in our promotion season! Just completely unfathomable.
Sort of pointless comment really, but if both the peno's had been given we could have drawn with Arsenal (and lost the record winning run) and beaten Sheffield United. I'll take how it panned out.

So the VILLA aspect to the design is a sort of less brave take on the above, iconic TATE logo. To think that some people thought it some kind of error or oversight is actually quite traumatising to read. It's fine for the intention of what it is.

The art of measured reflection is dying, if not already lost.
Reports of measured reflection's death has been greatly exaggerated.

Pages and pages later, I'm minded to say, let's just wait and see whilst watching on-field glory for the first time in a generation. First genuine sign of any tiny possibility of upping sticks then HECK OUT, NWSE on **** notice, and see the overwhelming majority down at the ground to protest.
