  1. I was trying to remeber the name of that yesterday, not far wrong, proper messed up. I must get my hands on the remaining episodes..... I challenge anyone to watch Grave of the Fireflies and not want to burst into tears, very good movie. Would recommend any Studio Ghibli, was disappointed to find out I would have to take a child with me to watch Arriety at the Barbican next month. Hope it gets a full cinema release like Ponyo.
  2. Haven't watched any anime for ages, but currently waiting for East of Eden and Appleseed: ex machina to turn up from ebay, both look interesting. I love Red Garden and Full Metal Panic and sadly various harem comedies.
  3. Okay mate, now worries, just found it a little insulting....
  4. Nice detective work Sherlock but that is actually where I was hoping to get ticket number one. But please dont let me disturb you from your self-righteousnous....
  5. Anyone got a spare ticket for the Chelsea game, I potentially have one ticket but require a second so I can go to the game with my Dad and for whatever reason the official site wont sell me one?
  6. This kind of thing gets said every time a government changes hands from one outdated concept to the next Yep, usually it goes like this.... "They spent all the money and left us in shit" and the other one goes "They destroyed public services and left us in shit" Well I agree with point one, not sure you could level point two at Labour though. Maybe that one can be used against the Tories when they get voted out..... That was the point he was making! Strangely the same point I was making as well....... OK, maybe when you stopped celebrating you'll see you misunderstood his post in the first place, either that or your not very good at making the points you make. Either way, your problem I was merely putting across the same old arguements that bounce between the average Tory and the average Labour supporter. Plus you dont need to preach to the choir, I wish the Tories had got in on their own but Im all for a coallition, might stop some of the crazy Left/Right policies going through (like Fox Hunting - although personally I couldnt give a shit if its banned or not - just thought it was a class war thing rather than a real issue)
  7. The mess the Tories left from the 70s/80s is still here as well. Care to enlighten us? Look at the North East of England, that is still feeling the effects of Thatcher. It was hardly a shining example of prosperity before Thatcher came in though was it. Shipbuilding died because they were other countries building ships cheaper. Mining was a pawn in the Thatcher / Scargill battle but again was being effected because coal could be bought cheaper elsewhere. How long did Labour need to make a difference up there? Exactly!! Again we talk of the wonders of this big world and we should all be involved in it but then complain when we go into the big world to buy stuff cheaper, this is why we dont have the industry. The reason for this is in this country we make and do expensive things very well, sadly we make cheap things very badly. I know I will probably get shouted down for this comment but sadly its true!!
  8. Well you might as well have someone who knows all about being in the forces in the job Maybe this is Dave's plan to cut the defence budget by making Paddy 'Rambo' Ashdown a one man army. Send him into Afganistan, those Taliban will run for the hills!!

  10. Isn't Cameron anti American That's what was thrown at him in the debates. Cameron probably told Obama, hands of BP, your not getting any money and tough titty that they caused an environmental disaster, serves you right for wanting independence. *cough* caused by an american working on a swiss(?) owned oil platform, rented by BP *cough* I have just studied Proximate Cause, I think BP might get their money back...
  11. all governments piss things up the wall, its about the only thing they all do well Haha very true
  12. I hate this left wing shit where if you say you love your country you suddenly become some sort of facist. I think people are just pissed we might have to pay back all the money we have pissed up the wall over the last few years
  13. Hi General, Thanks again to yourself and the rest of the board for your excellent work. I have one small question/criticism from yesterday. I rang the club up to try and sort out some sort of present for my father's 60th birthday as he has been an avid fan since our last FA Cup Final win and I wanted to try and give him a nice day out at the club for a match day. I first called the ticket office to see if there were any packages available and was told to speak to the Business section. I then spoke to Carol who was very helpful but said I should speak to one of the ticket office representatives. I then went back to them and was told that I need to speak to someone from events who would call me back which hasnt happened. Is there anybody I can call directly to get something sorted. [edited]Hi General, Scrap my last message, I had a very helpful man call me back and is sending me some details across so I can get something booked in due course. Further more I have now been called again and given some more options which sound exactly what I was looking for. The club has been very helpful and a personal thank you to Dominic and Carol for getting back to me and being very helpful. I think my Dad will love it, especially as I will be driving and he can have a few beers... Many Thanks Andy
  14. I was actually in the process of developing one for myself (for Vista) so if there is something in the offing I wouldnt bother. On the other hand if I can help my club out by providing then that would be very enjoyable...
