He gets us the win on Tuesday I'll be giving him massive credit
I fear we will be shown exactly what the future looks like vs the past though
Brentford have already done that already

Bruce didn't spend the money on Kodjia, McCormack, Tishbola, Chester etc etc so quite why you're associating him with that I don't know.
He's spent big on Hogan, that's it, Lansbury looks a snip around £3m, Hourihane and Bree for a combined, £6m or whatever it was looks like smart and good investment and far from paying over the odds. Taylor has added security down the left whilst making about £6m on that deal. His transfers seem to make sense and decent value for money in the whole.
Hogan is the big punt and his scoring record is undeniable, hence why he was expected to go to the Prem, if anywhere.
You can't lump Di Matteo's spending as if Bruce sanctioned them too. It just shows how heavily one sided you see things.
I'm not critical of Bruce for those signings.. But tell me something where would we be without kodja? Relegated imo
I'm critical of Bruce Becuase or his negative dire football playing like the underdog... Bringing gabby and Richards back into the frame and his negative subs
It's just awful to watch and you only need to look at the form table to not get carried away with the wins we have had

I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion. If you read back to when Bruce was appointed most thought it was a good appointment and exactly the type of manager we needed. It doesn't and wouldn't have mattered if he was appointed by Xia or Lerner.
I disagree with that to be honest.
It's the same regarding overspending on average players... Exactly what lerner did when mon and alot of fans were very critical of it.. Now it's seemed as a great thing
New owner bounce

I think Bruce bought exceptionally well in the January transfer window, like it was a dream championship transfer window!
Now none of us have seen what Bruce could do with s sizeable transfer kitty in the premier league but I think it could be quite exciting.
Have you studied his spend with Hull and Sunderland in the prem? The constant getting rid and replacing of players?

I don't think you know what irony is.
Christ are you Bruce's long lost son

As I say
Good old Randolph employs Bruce for this season he would be getting total abuse
That's the whole irony of this whole Bruce discussion

Kodjia has cost £11m and our net spend is under £30m.
I'd love to see how you worked that out... Kodja will cost us close to 15m
Our spend is closer to 40m net

Is he? 10th with blues 11th with Wigan says different
Sacked at Sunderland 2 relegations... That's more failure than success
Deary me if you want Bruce when in the prem then I really do despair

But we were better equipped than the majority of teams above us but it's still a struggle. The sides coming down will all be tainted by failure and top players won't be wanting to go there . The biggest threats are the teams there or thereabouts this year for promotion , not the descending sides
Middlesbrough know all about this league so do Hull
I feel like the only one that falls into what you are saying is Sunderland

At pains to dodge answering the question, aren't ya! What if it didn't? These are the kind of hurdles you would get as the person making the decisions, it's not as simple as you are making it sound.
I have a few others.. Go speak to Berizzo also.. I can name plenty of managers that should show ambition for us
Let me ask you this.. Should Bruce stay if we go up? he's a complete disaster at prem level

Boro, Hull and Sunderland are no more better equipped to bounce back than we were . It's a complete fallacy this notion that the teams coming down are better than the existing teams in the league . They said the same about us , and it's bollocks
Financially they will be better equipped at the very least..

Football doesn't work like that. There will always be competition for good managers and unfortunately we don't have a lot more to offer than money. However you will come up against competition with the same money and a lot else to offer.
You have to be realistic about who you would be comfortable with instead of Bruce. The like of Wagner even rowett ain't coming here, their stock are sky high so why would they? You would be left with the usual suspects to pick from.
He was deemed the best option a few MONTHS ago for a good reason.
so the question is would you be happier with an inferior manager? The bigger question is would you give them time to sort things out when you havnt given Bruce the same?
Well Newcastle managed to get rafa and got him to stay at this level when he could have left them.. I don't see why we can't go after a better standard of manager than the usual under achievers we seem to only go for
I was 'content' with Bruce and had more respect for him when he started off the way he did... But when he made his own changes and cocked it all up I saw a manager who actually doesn't have a clue what he is doing
Then taking off every striker you have on the pitch is unforgivable against a poor Forrest side
Then there is bringing back the useless gabby and Richards... Just these things are totally unforgivable for me

10x the manager bruce is? How many promotions has wagner got to bruce? The comparison is ridiculous
A guy who has been manager for 2 years or so cannot be compared to be x10 better than a mangers who has been around for over 10 years and countless promotions.
It's like comparing an amateur boxer who starts well to a previous world champion
Well its not the same as that what so ever Becuase one has built his side using only 3m and his side play football and not hoof it hope to knick a goal backwards style tripe
Let me ask you this...what sort of club do you think wagner is going to go to next? And what sort of club do you think Bruce is going to go to next?
Sorry but wagner is already way ahead of Bruce what he has achieved at Huddersfield is excellent

it's not pointless because i'm asking what you would do if you were the guy making that decision.
What if Marcelino didn't want to manage in the Championship? who's next?
Well money talks in football if the ambition is genuine then I'm sure he'd come

alright then, sack him today. Who do you bring in as his replacement that will meet your expectations?
No point sacking him now and I also know he's manager next season so it's a pointless discussion
There is a guy out of work who I'd approach and that's marcelino

C'mon dude, your view ain't changing whatever you see through those eye things.
My overall view on Bruce won't change but if he wins the next 2 I will give him alot more credit than the last 3 wins he's had.
I just firmly believe Bruce is not a manager to take us forward.. He claims to 'not do tactics' and is a dinasour in a new age of football.
When we have come up against footballing sides we have been found out under Bruce... I think that tells me everything

Bruce is here next season regardless..
The irony of these wins and improvement of results are as a result of Bruce playing a system he actually doesn't even believe in.. Which further cements my view of why he isn't the man to have another season.. But Wyness will keep him in the attempt to not be seen to oversee another managerial mistake

I seem to remember alot of fans claiming top 2 this season as a minimum...
I don't fancy us next season I'm afraid.. Blackburn beat Derby at home.. Bristol and Rotherham are more league one standard than so I'll take the wins but doesn't mean fat lot in proving we have turned a corner
Tuesday will give us more of an Indicaton

Fifteen million down the drain, Johnny Kodjia scores again...
He cost more than any other striker in this league Do i need to show you the top scorers table?
40m net spend to be in the lower half...if you think that's good enough then I'm speechless

You may have missed the fact that when Tony and RDM started they said promotion was hopefully a 1 year target but it may take 2 years. If you were expecting Bruce to deliver promotion given when he started at the club, then you are part of the problem, i.e. ridiculous expectations, constant manager swaps, failure.
I'm sorry you are wrong on this one... Listen to when Bruce came in.. Why is his contract a rolling one?
We have spent net of close to 40m record breaking money it's not unrealistic to expect better what we have witnessed this season

Tony is about to buy Bordeaux, and probably a few other clubs globally, you might say that is a modern approach to club ownership. Wyness feels Bruce will get us promotion yet you feel a guy with his experience is mistaken. Keep going.
Well he's already been wrong the aim when he brought in Bruce was for promotion THIS season and promotion was over in January
So 'keep going'

Well I don't know about on here so cannot comment but when that awful run of form went on and on and on most the fans don't seem critical
I watched Huddersfield closely in recent times with interest and I can say with Great confidence wagner is 10 times the manager Bruce will ever be
The 3 teams coming down likely to be Middlesborough Hull and Sunderland will be better equipped to prepare for life in the championship and a good chance of keeping their players with the new TV deal and increased para monies.
I feel personally Bruce has had his chance he made too many changes to a team that was being effective and it secured another season at this level...
The board are sticking with him regardless and I feel in the long run this will be a bad mistake.. Hope I am wrong but after seeing years of dark age football with villa it's time we stepped into the 21st century
-
Huddersfield will run us off the park based on their performance just
A team that was assembled for the price of Tommy Elphick...
I think that sums up how abysmal this season has been
Mid table is a disaster finish for us no matter how you want to look at it with the investment provided
-
Anything other than 9 points would have Been tragic considering the ability level of the teams we played
I'm with the above... Bruce is not a man to take us forward this football is utter garbage
The test starts now I'm glad we have won some Becuase the confidence excuse holds no weight now if we get beat at Huddersfield

Us and Norwich? I'm afraid we are parallels apart from Norwich this season... They could still make the play offs if they get their act together
