Potentially the best midfielder to ever play for the club
Sorry, but this is complete overhyped, blinkered nonsense!
Not fit to lace Gordon Cowans boots and that’s only for a start.

From what I’ve seen of Archer he is a goal poacher and doesn’t press the opposition so currently he does not suit the way Villa play. It’s a good deal with buy back option but he won’t ever fit into Emery’s style of play.
Think these sales are a lot to do with FFP rules making room for further purchases.

Gnonto back training with Leeds. Leeds turned down a bit of 25m from Everton. Good money for him but Leeds don’t want to sell.

A striker that doesn't score... just what Everton need!
Scored at the weekend and the last three seasons 9, 8, and 10.

To me Digne looks a lot more settled in pre and in the start of the new season.
Unless a really good offer comes in I’d be quite happy to keep him with so many games to play.

I can. We have two £30m+ defenders already at the club to replace him.
One of which hasn’t played in the Premiership before and the other coming back from a serious injury. Not sure Carlos is ready to play a full game yet?
-
Cannot believe that after Ming’s injury Villa didn’t go all out to sign Laporte.
-
Seen a lot of Philogene in pre-season and was mightily impressed by him so was shocked that he didn’t start the first game. Very fast and direct and deserved to start ahead of Bailey.
Now Emery is thinking of selling him.
Really don’t understand it with the amount of games Villa will have to play this season if they get past Hibs?

Everton awful and on that performance this is the year they will finally go down.
Villa haven’t been great either but then they don’t have to be.
The type of game you fall asleep to.

Good luck to both teams.

Must be Carlos Tevez’s brother?

We already have better than Adams. My pal is a Leeds STH and his opinion is that he flatters to deceive.
I’ve two mates who are Leeds supporters and swear by Adams. They told me when he picked up the injury their whole defence went to pot! All about opinions I suppose but for 24m to quality cover two positions it isn’t a lot to pay.

Sorry but the above sentence does not compute with my old brain.
Im probably old fashioned but my poor old father god rest him once said to me "you dont pick villa it picks you" .
If that is the case then both teams chose me. Always followed both teams!

I'm now convinced agent @striker wants to weaken us so Everton can overtake us
Be a while before that happens JV.
I don’t want Villa weakened at all. I still think the weakest part of the Villa team is in midfield. It could and should be approved upon if Villa want to seriously challenge for the top four which is next on the wish list of owners and fans alike. I just don’t think Villa’s current midfield is good enough to get Villa there and neither is Watkins.

Yeah i am sure you would and before the everton match this weekend also
Nothing to do with the Everton game. Villa have been my number one team for a while now but I still support both.
I like Kamara. Great signing on a free and a very good footballer but he’s so inconsistent and a bit lightweight! If the right offer was made for him and I mean 50m plus I’d take it and trust in Emery to bring in better.
I’ve already made my opinion clear on Luiz so no need to go into all of that again.
-
I’d sell both Kamara and Luiz if the offers were good enough and rebuild the centre of midfield.

@striker is that Gadot in your avatar or someone else?
Yes mate Gadot. I’ve a real crush on her but sadly she’s married.

Xanadu song would go well with him. Excited to see him play.

I've got a gut feeling we'll make a move for Maguire. Not thrilled but we need a vocal defender and organiser, and he'd give that. Has a point to prove. Mind he'll lose his England spot if he joined us as conkface sees our club as kryptonite.
I sincerely hope not.

In fairness, your last paragraph makes no sense.
It makes perfect sense when you consider teams with ‘great’ midfields generally win more than those who don’t.

Let’s not go down this road again…
Are you actually a Villa fan at all? Sure doesn’t ever seem like it…
After your criticism of Luiz…. It’s hard to take much of what you say all that seriously.
A midfielders are great.. one bad performance or result doesn’t change that…
Leagues ahead of whatever Everton have to offer…
No problem but I am very proud to say that I am a Villa fan. In fact wanting the best for your team or teams is a sure sign that you care and no team or player should be above fan criticism. The debate is about opinion and I will continue to voice that opinion while accepting other’s who think differently.

Thank you…
he’s chatting shit again…
dunno why he’s even here…
We destroyed “big teams” with these midfielders last season….
I’m here due to supporting both Villa and Everton and more Villa now. Have stated this many times already on site!
Concerning chatting shit that may be so but what I won’t do is change my opinion to fall in line with your and other’s opinion that Villa’s midfield is great.
There is nothing to suggest that other than a 7th place finish last season.
Can’t remember Villa ‘destroying’ any of the top six other than the 7 against Liverpool several seasons ago.
If Villa’s midfield is so great then why have Villa been without a trophy for many years now?
