No offence but we should be comfortably better than Olympiacos so it's a game I expect Luiz to control in midfield. The ones where we really need him to step up will be Brighton, Liverpool and Palace.

Yes those too but a positive/big performance might see him back in his groove…

  2. Hopefully puts in a big performance vs Olympiakos and shuts up the critics… would be a major boost if he could hit form again and push us on for the final few games… we need 2023 Dougie back.

Obv having Kamara with him makes a huge difference but I think McGinn is the best option, for that role, that we have in the squad.

Selling Ramsey would be a huge disappointment, when he gets his fitness back he's going to be awesome again.

Yep and would be the worst time to sell, his value is going to soar once he’s back and lighting up games again… super talent, great lad and truly one of our own. It’s ok, Unai loves him too and has been vocal about it (posted his comments here several times)… he’s not available.

Then if Rogers has an injury plagued season through no fault of his own, and doesn't reach the heights he has shown he can because of it, do we then prepare to sell and replace him asap as well?

    Nicely put.

Wouldn’t sell either but… if a choice had to be made, I would rather sell Rogers than Ramsey.

Find it crazy how so many are willing and even eager to move JJ on (also when his value is as low as it could be(!!), will skyrocket once he’s fit and firing again, many have forgotten how good he was and is, the injury is no fault of his own) and so hyped up about Rogers so quickly and to the extent that they believe he is a replacement or even better!

Madness. We are becoming quite fickle indeed.

Let’s not even go into the Dougie nonsense again 😆

A bit late, but as requested from @fightoffyour and @Stephen_Evans

Stephen, I don't think the middle one works cutting off the claret border - so just a more plain old school 3rd one....

I think that last one would be fine by most, even if not ideally what some would want but vastly better than any of the other/previous options. Possibly a good compromise.

First one is too old fashioned and has too much blank space. I can see the appeal though.

Yeah that claret gap or border on the second is a bit weird.

    This is really wild.

If the club unveiled something like this I think it would get a negative reaction...but I bet it's STILL better than the blue wank we're about to christen as our new badge.

It’s gold on claret.. rather than yellow on light blue… it’s already an improvement.

Not great either though 😆 I think he’s already landed on one or two designs that most, if not all, fans could get on board with.

    And he's in bad form.

    It's ok to say it.

    Sure, kind of did.

I miss 2023 Dougie and can’t wait for him to return…there are mitigating factors though.

Doesn’t mean we’re better off without him and should sell him. Nor should we forget his qualities and contribution to our success and progress.

Can’t be bothered to repeat too much of what I’ve already posted. To each their own I guess.

Expecting @Jas10 to open a "Watkins Or Louie Barry?" thread in a few months time, when he get a tad excited over Louie Barry banging in a double in the pre season friendly against Walsall.

Oh shit… only just realised and noticed I am responsible for this 😂

    What a shitshow 😂

    but like I said…

    IT WAS ONLY HYPOTHETICAL!!!

Some fans complaining about us yesterday but you only have to see other teams up the top end and who have played in Europe this season showing how tired they have looked this weekend including both Arsenal and City and have looked a shadow of themselves just like we did.  We just have to get through the next three games with a couple of good results and hopefully that’s enough for CL place.

    What’s Spurs’ excuse? 😜😆

😀I'm not clever enough to do accents on purpose. Defo the scouse clown who used us as a stepping stone to obscurity.

I would class him as the very worst… at least in the context of the players and talent at his disposal (see what Unai has done with the same ones!)…

an embarassing blot on our history, then again… we have made a whole heap of crap and embarassing appointments… at least that’s in the past now.

Also… not a football manager or coach… just a guy who lets others do the work for him…  sold the club short and was only ever about himself…

Benched our best players too… like Luiz, Buendia, Mings and so on…

    Anyway…

Luiz is class and crucial for us.

He wasn't. He was another bang average manager in the ilk of Gérard, who thought we were undeserving of him.

He wasn’t great… but he was no Stevie G. We are fickle though, most if not all football fans are. It comes with the territory.

Or are you referring to Houllier with the accent on the e there?
No need for such things with the Scouse clown.
