Why when we win should we give credit to Deano? If it was a one off display then fine but it isn't, been like this since end of last season
I agree, but when we win its down to the amazing players, when we lose its deano.
Smith can't control every element of a match, some players bottled it today.
Targett, Nakamba, el Ghazi.
Goal 1 poor to concede
Goal 2 unlucky
Goal 3 - just a good goal.
Fwiw I think he played the team most of us would have, with the exception of traorefor el ghazi.

Yeah that's just me though and of course it won't happen, maybe it's the frustration speaking but really fed up of seeing these tepid Deano displays
Why when we lose is it a tepid deano display? Targett was awful that's not Deano.

5 points.

The departure of Oneill, in the way and the timing was shocking. The start of a series of events which nearly destroyed us as a club.
With weaker owners and managers it could have happened with Jack.

Nail on head
He’s going to go there and may well be the best player they have and win lots of stuff playing with the best players in the world ( in many respects you can’t blame him)
and none of the other clubs who are in the big league will be that bothered cause they will still get the money for being failures.
Who will challenge them next year.Scouse won’t
untied won’t tie it back up
Chelsea about as close as it gets but don’t think they’re in the same ball park.
absoloute tosh the whole of football is.Look at soton they did brilliantly to get back up 10 years or so back…..put some real strong stuff together and have just been picked off with managers and players and now on there way out the league soon
Gutted Jack is leaving as it means I’ll never be able to watch him again even for England cause all it will be is Man City this Man City that now he’s moved onto a different level since pep has him and with these better players
we all know he’s different level and England would have won the euros if that muppet would have played him
ive seen McGrath
ive seen Yorke
Hes different level
he’s going to absolutely tear it up for them
you all know it
for a couple of seasons when pep was into him sterling was awesome and improved massively just see what jack does under him
who wants my ticket for the game against them
that being said I do think we’ll come out of this well
I just wanted Jack to be prt of it all
but then maybe it’s just his legs hypnotising me and actually he’s rubbish
This is stream of consciousness stuff.
The comparison to previous players is always a difficult one.
Yorke was magnificent but tainted this because he is a word removed. But he looked magnificent even surrounded by good players.
McGrath was and is supreme. He was so much better than really good players around him, he was on a different level. Part of my love for him was his flawed genius stuff.
Grealish is imo one of the best players in Europe. He has given us some amazing goals, rotherham and the derby goal from the corner, I'll remember for years. He has looked so much better because he has been surrounded by lesser players. I'll be genuinely interested how he progresses, I love him as a player and will watch him and his career . On one level I want him to be a success, on another I want him to fail.
I don't know which level on the stages of grief I'm at yet.

Are you kidding me? he will get booed to shit! Along with the usual funny chants. The guy will get abuse if he does go.
I may be in the minority then!
I don't think he's been disrespectful or a snake. I think he's decided to move on for his career, which differentiates him from a fan.

Great player, sad he has gone.
Massive amount of money to build on the work of the last couple of years.
Will receive applause pre game in recognition of the contribution he's made.

Simpler days, i miss it
I'm sure when we beat Bradford in in our season in the second division, Stuart and Andy gray made their debuts most people didn't know they had signed.
Might be wrong on this (it's a long time ago!)

As was the case with Delph, a player signing a new contract just before leaving is all about helping your current club out by ensuring they get the maximum price for the move. It is not necessarily about pledging allegiance to anybody and shouldn't be used as a reason to shoot him down !
It wasn't just signing a contract though, with delph. It was the crap he came out with whilst signing it.

Liverpool became a better team after selling Coutinho.
Shows it's possible with the right recruitment
Agree, Barcelona became a better team by keeping Messi.
Both are possible.

It's why I enjoyed the championship. You could get tickets for Preston boro etc - big grounds happy to increase allocations for away fans.
-
I'd agree. How do you build up a history if you can't buy tickets? I buy them when I can, and go 2_3 away games a year this is never enough for access usually.

I think James is a good player. Pace and good crosser. Being dismissed quite quickly.

I'd be amazed if there's 26,000 Bristol City fans there.

Why only 1000? Do they not want our money?

Is this still the Tammy thread or is MM Tammy. I'm confused, it's like line of duty.

He's not got the necessary skills to be a cdm, it's not a size thing, the decision is whether he is the best am, I.e. better than mcginn and sanson.
I think whichever camp you're in we can probably agree that over a season we look better with luiz or mcginn and a dedicated cdm.

Villa fans do love a conspiracy or any opportunity to have a dig at Southgate don't they?
What he has said literally mirrors the information we have been given by Deano and the medical staff, during the season, so I don't get the issue?
So you would rather him be overloaded and/or risk prolonged injury ( Which affects us ) just to give a hypothetical " Finger " to Southgate?
When/If he does play him as well, the comments will be " He had no choice, he had to play him because of the pressure, you know he didn't want to " smh.
As i've said in the past, some of you don't realise just how similar your are to Tanzanian fans with samatta. lol
Don't let facts or logic get in the way if my hatred for southgate!

In a weird way, although playing in championship would toughen him up, he'd develop more playing in the Premier. I'm always amazed at how much time some teams give the opposition on the ball. (Or is that just us?)
-
Ticket holders over 14 should have a photo and all attendees should have completed a medical questionnaire, if it's the same as Sunday.

Thought Mings played well yesterday. (thought I'd bring it back to topic). Think he'll be in the England squad?

Oh behave, it's a marxist movement, you really think villa fans who don't agree with it and had a boo today should have there ticket removed?
It's a Marxist mvt? Really?what do you base that on?
People being treated equally with respect isn't Marxism, it's humanity.
Thought the 95% who outclapped the boos should be applauded.

I agree, if we play cash and targett, who dont go forward effectively.
Would Young and Gilbert work better?
