People arguing that it wasn't a red card highlights how many opinions on here can't be taken seriously.
Or that it’s highly subjective.

I just don’t think it’s a red, you know when you’re running and when you go to lift your foot to stretch your leg out it just doesn’t fully lift, I think that’s what happened so it looks like he played the man which makes it look worse.
Regardless, in the rules it’s still not a red, looks bad but not a red.

Direby has to be one of the worst footballers i've seen at VP in a long time.
He was electric at the start of the season, like phenomenal, there’s a player in there for sure.

Will we appeal the red?
Should do

Still lots of twists and turns to come, lose this one but might end up beating Liverpool city and Arsenal, who knows with Villa.

You don't have to be particulary great to be sixth in the table, Brighton and West Ham have finished there in recent seasons, and Man Utd a bunch of times whilst not being particularly good, you don't have to go to far back to Southampton finishing sixth.
Feel like you are selling those 3 teams short there.

What's hilarious about this is Sheffield United just need to beat Burnley at home and get two draws from other games and they'll still beat our points haul from 15/16.
You forget how bad we were that season given Sheffield and Burnley are only four points off that total despite both being massively out of their depth.
Oh I haven’t forgotten…. It was just awful.
We had some absolute dross during that period we were circling the drain. Thanks Randy.

We can also have a huge say on the title race. Don’t we still have to play all the top 3? Imagine we won all 3, would that put us in the race for the title? Guessing probably not but you never know.

I dunno, I think it could be good if United fluke a win here, United won’t be catching us, they are too inconsistent this season, whereas this puts us right on City’s heels and they are title contenders…..
So surely that puts us back in the conversation for the title!
Oh didn’t see City had scored… never mind.

My thoughts on Purslow….
I feel he did a lot of good work in laying the foundations to getting Villa to where we are today, he made a decision that in hindsight he regrets but overall he did a good job and probably was what we needed at that time in that role.

it’s mad how Caicedo sold for more than what we sold Grealish for.
The Brighton fans weren’t exactly worried about losing Caicedo,

Does this result mean Chelsea missed out on securing European football next season? Or is the Caraboa cup more obsolete then I realise?
-
He’s been next level this season, possibly better that Ashley Young Version 1.

Go on Fulham!!!

If you isolate the tackle, he couldn’t get his leg out, it’s just a mistimed challenge, but that’s just my perspective of it. Only John will know.
