Whilst that would be amazing and unlikely anyway, he announced about an hour ago that Man Utd would be his last club in Europe, so even less chance of him coming here.
OK. Off to MLS then.
He is a great player, very very professional.

it is a disgrace to treat him like this. After all, he deserves respect.
Fancy a move to VP, Bastian?

The thing with Jackson. He has played 4 games in China and scored zero goals since he moved there. Rumors are he's very unhappy. He's either benched or injured in the past 6 months.
The Chinese team probably want's to loan him to Europe to see if he regains his form somewhere else.
I happen to follow his club quite closely. He is happy, but he is just not good enough to play in that club. You might think he should be good enough to be a super star for Chinese league, truth is, he is very poor after a few injuries since last season and he is not good enough for the club he plays for at the moment.
I seriously doubt he will do better in English leagues.

This club has really lacked proactive and meaningful engagement with the fans since the very early days under Lerner.
In addition to the tickets, imo what is really great about Dr is he managed to bring back the passion and the feeling of belonging of the fans, which all end up with great support on and off the pitch.
Twitter is magical.

Does this mean the "TD" is in place but hasn't been announced or just broken English again?
Technical director. Will be announced after the transfer deadline I believe

I don't think it would be unreasonable to expect a Play -Of place, so yes if we didn't get one I'd be very disappointed.
It would depend how close we got though, as to whether 'fail' would be my choice of words.
Whilst we NOW feel full of hope and optimism it wasn't beyond imagination that we might have actually struggled to stop the fall this season - RDM really did inherit an absolute mess.
As one example to get to the play-offs we will have to have gone from scoring 27 and conceding 76, to scoring 60+ and conceding 40 odd. And from 3 Wins to 20 odd.
That's a lot however its looked at.
So I have to say if we manage to even give it a go I would probably say 'fair enough'.
Totally agreed. That is probably why RDM got a 2 year contract. He has to secure a play-off place to be on a safer side at the end of this season.
If a few more signings (especially a 'world-class' number 9) are completed before deadline, I would say top 2 is the bottom line from the owner's perspective.
That said, I may have totally underestimated the competitiveness in this league.

Just now, av1 said:Agreed. I think i could get this squad into the playoffs.
Shall i send you my CV just incase?
As the world-class number 9? Sure!
Complete the following two questions:
1) Are you a national team player?
2) Are you pacey?
And don't forget to put your height in your CV.

So De Lart or De Let?

Anyone gives me an accurate pronunciation of 'De Laet' please? I assume it is Dutch?

I gotta say RDM must be having a mixed feeling now
Good, in a way that the owner gives him whatever he wants in his squad.
a lot of pressure too - he has to deliver, at least taking the club to the play-offs. Otherwise, I personally will think this season is a fail.

A few posters asked why Tony said this.
Let me explain this - Drogba had links with a Chinese football club (Shanghai Shenhua) a few years ago and he played for the club alongside Anelka. He didnt get paid (you may remember from my post about Chinese football, that owner is an idiot) and sued the club on FIFA court.
Xia simply meant to point out Drogba's bad experience a few years ago with a Chinese club and a Chinese owner. That's all.

Van Persie or Mario Gomez would be ideal. Too late to sign them now. Shame.
-
Holloway just called a villa player 'that fella'. Must have done his homework before the match .

seriously. All first team needs to visit a temple or something. Unbelievably bad luck.

This first XI shows how poor our first team is. No choice for RDM to make for mid/att lines.
We need to have 2-3 transfer ins and 2-3 loanees before the deadline.
