A game in hand is worth two in the bush…

Great to see spurs dropping points.

West Ham seem like they’re holding their own, albeit I’m only reading the commentary. Hopefully they can skank another goal or two. COYI.

While y’all are arguing and ignoring each other, nobody is asking why the fox seems to have its back end shaved…
Was it Robbie Savage? I bet it was Robbie Savage.

I didn’t watch all of it but they were terrible yesterday, it was only England’s second best striker’s poor finishing keeping them in it. Imagine my delight when I checked the score and saw Brentford had scored a very late equaliser to cancel out the traditional late manure undeserved fluke goal. Sweet justice.
They're not finishing above Villa, no way.

Toney’s finishing not so good today hey

What happened? I fast forwarded half time and noticed Watkins didn’t come out. Hope it’s not a significant injury.

Just finished watching after having to pause it at the start to deal with some family issues. Thought we delivered a professional performance without being amazing. Duran, Diaby and Zaniolo were excellent I thought, and a big shout out to Martinez for keeping us in it with that point blank save first half. Great result, keeps the momentum now for our run in.

This is such awful news, such a great player and man, too young to be consumed by this terrible disease

Great to see Ramsey back, I guess he’ll not be starting on Saturday but having him on for 20 mins is progress. Can be key for us in the remaining games.

We've spent nearly 18 months under Emery achieving 2ppg by not being light in the determination and 'digging in' department.
Exactly, we need to have some faith in Emery and his squad, they’ve certainly earned it since he came in. When the pressure was on this time last year we showed plenty of steel to win our way to 7th. We’ve been hit hard with injuries which goes some way to explaining our recent form of ‘only’ 1.63 ppg, but we’ve got every reason to believe that these lads will pull through and get there.

Should find out from Emery’s press conference later today, but I can’t see JJ being fit for wolves

Bad luck again but at least we’ll have Carlos back, along with Pau, Konsa, Digne, Moreno and KKH as back up. We’ve almost got a full strength defence (Kamara not included).

Just popping to register for my free pint, thanks
2-1 Villa and back on track for the Champions League run in.

I haven’t watched any of these two games, I’m so fed up of Southgate’s football and the bull shit narrative around the national team. Seeing so many articles writing Watkins off as a flop and lauding Toney as the second coming of Lineker. I’m so detached from the England team now. That said, I’m glad Konsa did well and it was a pleasant surprise to see Tielemans bagged two. Quite what Southgate has learnt from these friendlies is anyone’s guess, I suspect that it’s about 10% of what a top coach would have.

The focus of their club is very much on being an entertainment outlet
They’ve been successfully entertaining us for years!

We weren’t great today but we dug in and found the equaliser. A point away from home against top 7 oppo isn’t a bad result though.

I think the number of injuries and suspensions might have something to do with our changes, don’t ya think?

He’s a machine.
Wouldn't surprise me that his knee gash has already completely healed.

Obviously Champions League qualification is the target, but if we finish 5th and there are only four places, then we’ll still get Europa League. I don’t know about anyone else but I’d be very happy with that. From where we’ve come from in the last ten or so years to qualifying for European competition two years in a row is a great achievement. Consistent euro qualification is important but it’s got to be sustainable.
But like Nick says above, let’s take one game at a time and see where we end up. The picture will keep changing, and at times Spurs will be above us, and at times we’ll be above them again. Wherever we are on the final day, it will likely be 5th and that’s fine with me.

Doesn’t matter too much what their fans want, it’s the players and manager that decide their motivations. Much as it would be great to think the team have given up on 4th, that won’t be the case at all. Spurs looked dejected coming off the pitch at West Ham not because they weren’t bothered. Anyway I still think we will make 4th, but it will be close and we have to expect that we’ll spend some time in 5th along the way and not wet ourselves with worry.
