  1. Few would have thought we could beat Spurs or Man City but the manner of both defeats has been unforgivable! I think Lerner needs to change things before we get relegated. Imagine letting Houllier spend a fat load of money and then we get relegated anyway!
  2. I'm done. I expect us not necessarily to win but i do expect us to compete and we aren't - i wish we had lost at West Brom as that might have meant Houllier would have been sacked and we wouldn't been enduring this utter **** b*llocks every week.
  3. expect Chelsea to destroy us also, Houllier has no cards left to play.
  4. Lets dig up Graham Taylor and stick him in charge.
  5. If you look at the bigger picture - what has Houllier done since he came to Villa. Fell out with Carew, now ok Carew is his own worst enemy at times and can look like he doesn't care on the pitch. But sometimes he can be impossible to defend against and scores important goals. Falling out with him to the point he doesn't even get off the bench has really done us no favours when we can't seem to score goals. I won't be sad to see him leave but only if we replace him. -1 Albrighton: Houllier can't take full credit for his emergence but stuck with him and has been rewarded accordingly. +1 Ireland: Could the Frenchman have handled that situation better, maybe, maybe not. Ireland nailed his own coffin shut, but I still wish Houllier had stopped slagging him and Carew off in the press. -1 Dunne: Out of form - and even though Houllier got there in the end - he stuck with him too long and you could even say that he is persisting with Collins too long also, but with only Clark left he is running out of defensive options. 0 Cuellar: Our best defender and yet ditched in favour of the dumb dumb twins. Then again he was pretty awful today. -1 Delph: Blooding Delph when NRC had done well the last game? Ok so we need Delph back and playing but not sure this was a good move. 0 Hogg: I am not convinced at all by this player, one good game in total - although i think he is good enough i don't think he can be relied on yet. 0 Bannan: Most promising of the youngsters, deserved his chance and hasn't let anyone down. 1 Warnock: Did Houllier turn him into a bad player or did that happen at the end of last season? Hmmm 0 Heskey: Injury aside Houllier turned him into a striker that actually scores. 1 Delf: Deserved more time and sooner. -1 Pires: One word WHY? -1 Beye: Again managed to upset the utility player but erm... not sure we care. 0 L Young: Good to see him back even if he has been a bit inconsistent. 1 A Young: Houllier in my opinion has got more out of Ash than MON did last season, controversial I know... 1 Gabby: Crap, but mainly due to lack of match fitness, confidence and sharpness. 0 Clark: Deserved a chance and just about justified the starts he has had... JUST. 1 Lichaj: Not sure he has been played through choice, but anyway has been pretty damn good. 1 Tactics: Nothing has really worked that well, if it had we would have more points. -1 Doesn't make good reading does it.
  6. At the start of every game we are set up wrong due to a decision Houllier has made, there is one player not performing in a certain position until our tactics are changed at half time or earlier. In the past it has been Ireland or backing an out of form Dunne, today it was not starting NRC or Petrov. I didn't really feel starting Delph was the right decision either.... although he didn't do that bad. If he had started with NRC or Petrov instead of Hogg we might have been better placed to fight their midfield. Every game we have a defensive nightmare, this time it was Collins (again) although not helped by Downing. Cuellar didn't look that great either! Spurs are a quality team but we let them play, we had to be set up more defensively to compete with a team we know is now leagues ahead of us (and yes i hate that fact but i have the balls to admit it). Houllier still seems to think he is managing Liverpool! 70mins against 11 men and not getting point is unforgivable though. There is so much wrong with this team that it is hard to know where to start! I don't think there is a single area in the team that we are strong in. Even if Houllier brings in a couple of players to improve things in Jan - it's unlikely they will have the impact we need straight away. One player shines for one match, but one or two players doing well per match won't win us anything! WE ARE PRETTY F*CKED RIGHT NOW AND NO-ONE CAN CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE. SACKING HOULLIER WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP EITHER EVEN IF I DON'T WANT HIM AT THE CLUB.
  7. We now know Delf needs to start the next game and Cuellar needs to start. But we still have no central midfield. We could try Herd i suppose, never have i missed Petrov and NRC so much!
  8. What midfielder can we put on to replace the unfit Albrighton? My nan would have more impact
  9. If Pires is the answer, what the **** was the question?
  10. Delf and Albrighton have looked up for it even though no-one else has
  11. I've seen enough, **** this utter shit - **** off Houllier
  12. He's not even had a transfer window and has got more walking wounded than the red cross at the moment. :| What a ridiculous complete over reaction. Let's see where we are at the end of the season. Relegated
  13. so much for our new defensive shape! Martin Jol left Ajax - GET HIM IN
  14. I predicted 4:0 to Liverpool, i don't think i am going to be proved wrong.
  15. Losing to Liverpool reserves - WHAT A **** JOKE! There are no excuses anymore
  16. Armchair pundits check list Our best striker: Gabby missing - even if he doesn't get goals his pace terrifies defences and he gets down the channels Our captain: Petrov missing - and i do think he should get rested more and not be an automatic starter but we have missed him Our best central defender missing: Cuellar - ok maybe not the best but I do think he makes less mistakes than Dunne and Collins Our best winger missing: Albrighton He may burn out after 60 mins but he takes so much pressure off the defence by keeping possession and attacking. NRC missing: Just when he started to show the form that made us think he was worthy of the shirt he gets injured Downing wasted on the right - just when he started to look the part he has to be switched to his poorer side. Much as I rate Bannan he needs protection, he can't really tackle or offer defensive cover - which is what we need. Delf, Hogg, Herd we don't really know yet if they are as good as we hope or think Clark looks good but is he a midfielder or a defender? Warnock - never have seen such a fairly decent player play so badly, needs to be rested and given the chance to sort his sh*t out. Collins - Not fit, not been great when fit either Dunne - Better today but making costly mistakes all season Pires - should be player brought on after an hour to provide some creativity and set pieces, should never start a match.
  17. Friedel 7: Can't really blame him although at least one of the goals he could have done better Young: 5 - Gave ball away and part responsible for the first goal Collins: 4 - Too gung ho and responsible for plenty of dumb defending - was he fit? Dunne: 6 - Best of a bad defence Warnock: 4 - Utter utter donkey A Young: 5 - Useful at times but can't cross from the right Downing: 4 - Woefully ineffective Bannan: 5 - Did ok but didn't really contribute much of note either Clark: 8 - Really looks like a Prem player and great first goal! Pires: 4 - Should never have started, not got the legs to track back or tackle Carew: 5 - Same old same old, holds the ball up well, loses the ball easily going forward - didn't have a shot on goal. Subs: Ireland 6 - We looked better when he came on started to make the midfield tick Delfouneso 5 - Again we had more threat when he came on but didn't do anything that exciting Herd: To little time to rate We need some big physical defensive bodies in midfield and in defence, NRC and Cuellar will help when fit but i think Houllier needs to buy a spine to this team. Ref: 6 - Nothing too controversial Manager: 4 - The decision to start Pires and Carew cost him anything from this match
  18. Downing should play left and Young behind the striker - but without Albrighton we can't do this - can Ireland not go wide midfield or Bannan?
