Sarr is really quick, something we lack.  I wouldn't be against him signing with the decent coaching staff we now have.  Brilliant for high press and counter attacking. 

I didn't want him in the first place.  No great loss if he goes back.

We have the training ground the stadiium the academy and the owners already . Now just the simple task of making it happen on the pitch. 

With the underlined being the thing we are struggling with the most.  I agree though that everything seems to be in place now and we all hope for the window of all windows.  One reminiscent of the time we got Carew and Young in the same window! 

If there was a player out there we really wanted and could use Luiz as bait to land said player, I wouldn't hesitate.  I really don't see what he brings to the party.  Lovely cross for Watkins' goal but that aside, he almost put though his own net too.  Polarises opinion I guess, but for me, I really can't see what he brings. 

He needs to bring his shooting boots every week Messi11.  Way too inconsistent but when it comes off, he's special to watch.  I am not sure whether he needs better players around him or whether this is as good as he's going to be.  Hope for the former. 

I thought he was poor, in fact, I honestly wonder what has happened to this player over the last couple of years.  He seemed destined to get in to the international set up not so long ago but his positioning has got worse and he looks less than confident at the moment. 

442, with John McGinn on the right side of midfield?  Don't like it and we are shoehorning people into the side until they are replaced. Played a narrow four but we don't have the physicality at the moment. 

Ordinary player, got into some good positions but proceeded to pass the ball backwards instead of trying to get the ball in between the defenders and the keeper.  Really not impressed by what I have seen of him so far. 

I am looking forward to seeing how Coutinho plays under Emery, with better movement of others players around him, he should do so much better than he did under that other guy. 

Great to see him getting them super fit too.  Ings picking up Archer, showing that spirit and togetherness.  Good signs. 

McGinn wasn't in any of the training photo's recently either.   Probably on the same boat somewhere.

Unusual for the Express and Star but I was keen to have a look at their headline on Newsnow, 'Pau Torres backed to be big signing at Villa' only to see the font of nothing important, Alan Hutton, saying he thinks Torres would do well at Villa.  I never learn!  I guess it's a very quiet sporting news day. 

I like it and I hope we go on to win trophies with this crest on the shirts.

I would want Purslow under pressure as he needs to deliver as much as anyone else at the football club.  Gerrard is likely to have been mostly down to him, having been promoted the season before and him going down the fanboy route.  We have stood still for 12 months and Emery has been brought in to kickstart us, putting him in a good position because, within reason, he can ask for pretty much what he wants.  Hopefully, this leads to a few players coming in over the next 2 windows to make us reliable and competitive.  Wouldn't it be lovely to get to the stage where we can go to any ground knowing we are going to be no mugs?
