I am told by a Stoke City fan that JPB was fantastic for them, a proper bums off the seats type when he got the ball, but could't stay fit.  They would like him back next season.

This lad has done nothing so far to suggest that he is the ,wonderkid,.  Probably needs more time, but is he really all that?

It must be infuriating for other teams to watch Aston Villa hoover up top talent, knowing that we are coming for your place in the top 6.  

There is no way that Danny Ings will be sold without a viable replacement coming in.   Imagine Watkins getting badly injured in the first game of the season?  No way will  Archer or Davis be asked to step up just yet.  If Ings does go, for say, Bissouma, we will most definitely be bringing in another striker.  

It must be done if Sevilla are saying goodbye.  Unless they don't want him back because they need the dosh!  He looks like a unit.  Fantastic to be getting the deals done early.  Bissouma next please. 

Hugely frustrating and disappointing.  Sacking Dean Smith was supposed to be the lift for the club but, apart from bringing in a couple of quality players, it has been no better under Gerrard really.  Hope for a really good summer. with quality signings and as a once underwhelming Manager used to so, 'we go again'.   I think we need at least four players to make us much more competitive, but we have to build bit by bit as I don't expect those four players to lift us into the top 6 just yet.  

I still think he has something to offer.  Maybe in fits and starts but he's good sub to have. Can play centrally and on the wing, so I'd keep him.

We have to build the midfield around him, especially the defensive elements.  I hope we get a couple in this summer.

I love his hussle and busy side but we need better quality if we are to progress.  Really frustrating player because he can be brilliant and hopeless in the space of a couple of seconds.   With a couple of better players around him, I hope he finally lives up to the hype.  Brilliant for Scotland.  

Wonderful signing.  Gives us a media darling.  Hope we have another couple at the club over the summer. 

Konsa is usually really reliable, particularly when the ball is on the floor, he's never been the greatest in the air but just recently, his positioning seems all over the place and he's making poor decisions.  Sadlly, he hasn't moved on this season. 

I think we will take a fair hit on his transfer fee Demetri, but I reckon you're right.

Mings has really tidied up his game recently and has looked every bit a Captain and an England international he is.  Konsa on the other hand......

I am not suggesting we buy him but I think he'd be a decent player in a better team and I feel that someone half decent will snap him up if Burnley go down.  He needs to learn a few things defensively but it a talent.  I wouldn't be disappointed if we were in for him, although not sure where we'd play him.  I can see him moving to the centre of the park. 

The whole division seems to be worth fewer points this season.  

Equally, I don't think we will be extending the contract until 2026.   He has another two years left on his contract, what's the rush?

Those four and sell some and that makes us competitive at a higher level. As long as the coaching can keep up, I think and hope that it can.

 

I wonder if we might bring in two DCM's?  We don't have a habit of stockpiling players but if Nakamba was to leave, we'd only have Iroegbunam as the natural DCM.  Ndidi is a good call as he is a very good player.   

We really did need those three points against Norwich to settle things though.  I can see Everton overhauling Leeds as they've got an easier run in.  Between Leeds and Burnley for me.  

Hopefully goes out on loan next season to a decent club so he continues his progress.
