To be honest anyone under the age of 25 is going to hear 'Theme from an unmade silent movie' and think what the **** is this shit and what does it have to do with Aston Villa? I'm 33 and I don't know what it's connection is really. A song we played in the 70's? I think it's pap to tell you the truth.

Football spans generations, if we have to have walk out music then surely we can find something that suits the majority?

I remember thinking it was awful back then  , sounds even worse now

There's a difference between the general pre-match playing of music over the tannoy, the "and happy birthday to Kevin Smith from Erdington, who sits in the Witton Lane stand" type stuff they used to do and the kind of contrived fanfare/entrance music thing they do these days. In the 80s they just used to have the PA announcer play some records and read out marriage proposals, anniversaries and birthdays and stuff. Not the same IMO.

We used to run out to the theme from the unmade silent movie , thus why it appears on many of the videos from that era

I think people over think the entrance music, I couldn't give a ****. I'd be happier I reckon if we didn't enter to any music at all.

Can any of our older generation tell me when that became a 'thing'? I can vaguely remember back to 92, but I don't remember hearing anything then?

I recall we were playing entrance music in the late 80's , but cant go any further back

  4. Yet on Tuesday one of the Bristol players constantly berated the linesman and was up in his face at one point , i can't even recall him being booked. Bacuna's fault this but the lack of consistency is annoying

As a season ticket holder you do encounter people who seemingly turn up for one game here and there and use it as a sounding board to chuck a tirade of abuse at the player who happens to be their scapegoat of the month. It used to really wind me up, but it has become a bit of a standing joke between us now. Jeff from Castle Browmich rocks up and by 23rd minute he is screaming at Albert Adomah, ensuring he knows just how shit Jeff from Castle Bromwich thinks he is.

It does grate. We're talking about the people who booed at half time on Tuesday. It strikes me as entitlement and I want nothing to do with it and I don't like to hear my club represented in such a fashion.

Absolutely , there were a group of lads near me on Tuesday that i'd never seen before , actually booed and abused Sam Johnstone after one of his kicks , like that will do a struggling keeper the world of good.

Im hoping for a hammering by 4 or 5 to get brucey the sack.

Maybe next time we could bring in a manager who knows how to use creative player and not leave us open at the back.

Thats the spirit ... League 1 in no time.

Just had a look at the prices. Are they taking the **** piss?

£500+ in the Holte for a ticket in the Chumpionship after this **** embarrassing shambles of a season? **** off. The club should be **** ashamed. Regular attendances below half capacity next season, IMO.

You can't charge Premier League prices for this shit.

Sadly this is now the cost across the board we are relatively cheap compared to many championship clubs , the fans no longer matter

  8. Amazing , a few weeks ago he was fat , lazy and had a terrible attitude. A few loses later its all Bruce's fault , we can beat Bruce over the head with a few things , i'm not sure McCormacks efforts are one of them.

Cant find a similar thread but merge it as ever mods if there is. Just noticed Iwan Roberts calling for the Welsh FA to stop under 10's heading footballs.

    also BBC

    Thoughts?

For some time now i have been asked not to encourage develoment players to head the ball , you get to a stage (usually around 10-11 ) where heading the ball becomes a natural reaction

    Agenda points:

    •
    • Charges: A little detail on what the fixed and floating charge over many Aston Villa related companies registered at Companies House in favour of HSBC (Nov 16) means for us.

    •

that is somewhat worrying , i assume this means we have borrowed from HSBC?

  11. Talk of sacking is ridiculous , pretty much everyone was happy when Bruce came ,whats next appoint someone until the end of the season then sack them as well and spend another 50m on players. We cannot repeat the same mistakes over and over again
